whats the specific way to test the height of warpage on an engine block. i used a straight edge and can see a little bit of a dip where the pistons come up too. also what is teh going rate to get a tiny bit shaved off of this?

so i just need a straight edge and some sort of gapper? but does anyone know what i should expect to pay for the shaving

just use a straight edge and a feeler gauge to test the head or deck, you should have .003" at the most in the center, and about 100 - 175 for resurfacing

its only going to be 35 dollars for it, and i tested it out and around the piston rings? there was about a .003-.004 depression there
