ok i hooked my car up to the ignition scope in school today only to discover that it goes away at 1500 (supposed to do that) but it doesnt come back when it drops below 1500. However if i turn off the car and then restart it the multistrike comes back (again only until i take it above 1500) My question is whats wrong. why does it not comeback once it drops below 1500.

the car does have 220xxx miles on it so im thinking its time to replace the coil pack with an MSD and Ford Racing wires.

Ask your instructor. This is an issue with your school's machine, not the car.

i can hook it up to a different one todayand see if its the machine or not. hopefully its just the machine.

ok i hooked it up to 2 different scopes and its still doing the same thing. its not the scope. the only thing i can think of is the ignition module since that controls the multistrike. But since im getting an MSD coilpack in a few days im not to worried about it.
