Well I made the mistake of taking the Ford Fusion for a test drive yesterday. Was quite impressed overall. Very smooth solid and comfortable. Would certianly make for a good replacement to my aging vehicle fleet. Price point seems very good as well for what you get. List of standard options isn;t to shaby also. However I have one major frustration, and one minor one with it. MAJOR: There is no V6 5 speed option with it. Granted the 4cyl with the MTX will move in and out of traffic reasonably. I really felt a bit more power was in order. It seemed no faster then my 4 CYL MTX Mytsique that ways less by 200 lbs but also has 35 less HP. MINOR: I hate the rear end for some reason. Either way while I will wait a year or 2 at least before considering making the move I think, and in a few years some will come in off lease making for even better deals I feel the car itself could help with some of Fords ailing sales.

Agreed on both points. The lights look like Altezza tails, yo, for a 95 Prelude.

As for the V6 option, Mazda 6 has it.

I wasn't as impressed with the Fusion as I was expecting to be. I test drove a fully loaded V6 and found the suspension to be too cushy and the visibility to be poor. I did not like the feel of the road from this car at all. On the plus side, it was very comfortable and I didn't notice half the road noise that I do on my Contour.
