Better food, cheaper beer, tvs with sports, and no cover charge at Hooters. Some guys also like that nearly naked tease. Hooters is more socially acceptable than strip clubs (heh not in my world, but I'm just trying to argue the point).

I can see that. All the Hooters I have been in sucked. When my friends and I go out we usually go where the cheap Margaritas are.
There is nothing wrong with strip clubs.

It appears to me that married (maybe repressed?) guys frequent strip clubs and the "Owl Restaurant"? Makes me thankfully single. But seriously, if we can have a pub meeting in VA, every now and then, it would be kewl too.

I think the issue with VA is that nobody knew a place that could.
1. Seat a bunch of people on a friday night without a wait (and more people as they trickle in) 2. lots of parking away from other cars.

Yep.
We tried a couple other places before and as stated above, the wait sucked horribly and parking was atrocious.
I'm sure everyone's up for something different. It's just a matter of someone finding someplace:
1. No wait on a Friday night
2. Decent parking
3. Not too far away for those coming from the east (Eldersburg, Bowie, Anapolis, etc.)
4. Reasonably priced

Alexandria has some decent places but alas no parking that I know of that we can all park together.
However, if there is something in DC, send me pictures of any surviving wheels/cars. I wouldn't believe it otherwise.
Bowie has Duclaw Brewing Co and to my knowledge is about the best bet for an all around nice place with parking. Seating though, I'm not so sure about.

Potomac Yard, around either Hops or that Mexican joint, that might be a possiblity. And for that matter, I bet Landmark Mall would be easy to find parking, and I think there's a couple of restaurants in there. Maybe even top-deck parking at Pentagon City.
