Just exactly how is it done? Is it stuck on with adhesive or does it clip in, etc. I have no idea and no search would bring up any good result -- I want to paint mine so I was just wondering how hard it was to get off, etc.

I just finished the same thing , Looks great .
1) 10mm socket wrench
there are 6 nuts, take them out push up on the studs (they should come up fairly easy) undo rev. light wire connectors and connector for plate lights (on left side) . take off clean with rubbing alcohol , mask off area and clean with alcohol again .
What kind of paint are you using ?
I recomend VHT night shades spray tail light tint .

well-- I'm not to big of a fan of the nightshades-- i'd rather have it all blacked out or all red. I feel that the slight vision of red kinda makes it look like a cheap job-- So the paint I will be using is Dupli-Color high gloss black, probably end it with a clear coat-- Hopefully that will work out
