Typing in "gck axles" in google produces a link to gck.com, which at this time is down... produces a few links to sites that sell gck axles... and a few links to forums that talk about the axles (what i cared about)....

unfortunately, every post i've read, from every forum, from 3-4 different auto clubs all gave negative reviews

so i ask... why are GCK axles all of a sudden the best axles to get for high performance? a new type of metal being used? what gives?

Well one of the nicest things about them is they have a lifetime war. + they are significantly thicker than stockers. and they are not much $ than remanufactured ones(that i cant attest are junk) i snapped one like a tooth pic. In my nearly stock tour.

I had about .5 seconds of wheel hop with Ford axles, snapped one and damaged the CV joint on the other.

From reading on here about it's strength and then finding out it had a lifetime warranty, I was sold on GCK.

...i'll disagree about the remanu...i had my car street tuned with a reman'd unit...and the guy who tuned it was use to driving a s/c cobra w/.a 390 in it...so you can imagine how he launched my car!!! i had never been so scared that my car might brake...after five hours of that nonsense it's still as good as new

I also have some reman'ed axles in BOTH sides of my cougar from Carquest Auto Parts with the lifetime warranty. I broke a FEW axles before i had the nitrous but for the past 8 months i have not had a single problem with them...hmmm...might have something to do with the tires not sticking in any way shape or form

I think it is just bang for the buck.

They work, they are New, and are approximately the quality of stock IMHO. Therefore, that makes them better because they cost less.
They stand up as good as my stockers did to the 3L turbo so you do the math. I can buy what, 6 sets before I equal the cost of a set of driveshaft shop axles?
