Sorry to be a downer, but since Steve mentioned this in another post, I figured that I might as well add a new post about it.

About 2 weeks ago, I was let go from my job working as the Service/Marketing Manager for a local Real Estate firm. Monies were tight, so he had to let me go. I was only there for 6 months!!!

As most of you know, I worked at a local university for about 4 years before that. So, I also have a background in that.

Anyway, if anyone knows of any Marketing/Advertising/Communications type jobs in the local Manchester/Concord area, could you please let either Steve or I know? My true love is (and my degrees are in) Marketing. Steve is obviously on here more than I am, so if you wanted to PM him, that would be fine. If you have any questions (about my education, etc), feel free to let us know, as well.

If you have any question about NH unemployment, let me know and I'll do my best to help ya with that stuff.
I got laid off twice within a 3 year period, so I got pretty good at utilizing the services there. lol I suck!

Have you gone back to SNHU's career dept to see if they know of any openings?

Kim- my mom works in that office, so yah- I've been there (plus, she always keeps her eyes open for me).

There are very few jobs right now in general, so it does pretty much suck. I have applied to about 17 so far...we'll see what happens. I search every day (and it gets very frustrating) online, in papers, etc. I have told many close friends/contacts in the field, as well. I'm covering all of my bases, that's for sure.

Have you found any recruiting firms that specialize in marketing/advertising/communications?
