I been contemplating a tattoo for years and since i decided to go medical I wanted to somewhat tie that into my tattoo.
I was thinking of a quote from Hippocrates who is regarded as the father of medicine
"Ars longa, vita brevis, occasio fugax, experientia periculosa, iudicium difficile."
which in English:
"Life is short, art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgment difficult"
I was wondering ideas to incorporate it, i don't want old english text, or it written accross my chest like "thug life". I want a very clean tattoo, maybe on my shoulder blade or upper arm. Im just looking of ideas on how to use it.. shadowing, things flowing with it... sketches... w/e

how about a tat of a hypadermic needle on your forearm?  maybe some sutures around your neck.

You could do what one my friends had done.
He had a tatoo on his back that looked as though the skin had been ripped back and you could see inside his body, and it was for the most part anatomically correct!!

why not get that medical sign with the staff and snakes and what not. The quote is nice but I think its a tad too long.... man id post a pic but i forget how to do that, but if your in the field you should know what i mean. and get is big. Small tats dont look good

I plan on getting this one day soon on the back of my lower neck. This amulet sun symbolizes the true essence of being. Its brightness shines upon us bringing hope, health, success, prospertiy and the renewal of the vital lief force essence.
I have the ouroboros symbol, which is the infinity snake, on my calf, about 4" round, not to obig and has an excellent meaning. It has been associated with the entire Zodiac and the eternity of time. It's the symbol of the perpetual cyclic renewal of life.
I like mythology.
