Kia got it right though with DRL's: Full low beams with tail lights on ALL THE TIME. My mom has a 2001 Sportage, and as soon as you turn it on,the low beams, parking lamps and tail lights come on,even with the switch in the off position. Absolutely brilliant, and every automaker should follow this. Personally,I hate people who when in inclement weather forget or are too lazt to turn on their full lights and you're following or approaching a car running dark,or with just DRLs. NOT SAFE.
I'd like to see a rear foglight a la European vehicles. (You'll see them occasionally on import Saabs or MB's around here - often one of the white backup lights is replaced with a red lens and is steady on bright with the foglights on.) Perhaps make it always-on with DRLs or something.

As for the relay, wouldn't that be common among the FOMOCO line of vehicles? Or would that be only to Ford/Mazda. I was thinking that since DLR's have been in Canada for years then maybe one of our listers up there could just go to a bone-yard and yank one fer cheap or I could go to a bone-yard around here and get one off a newer FOMOCO vehicle.

Wow , a post comes out a 5-month sleep .
It's a good Idea you've got there , Pepse . Maybe you could do some junkyard "research" there , and maybe even pick up some cool trinkets for your car while you're walking around .

Well, I definately need to get to a boneyard as I need a better dash face (you know the part with the A/C vents), and maybe the trim piece that surrounds the radio, heater, and ashtray.
Come to think of it my wife's '06 Taurus has DRL's; when she's not looking I'll check and see if I can get a P.N.
Later. Pepse.
