not me but my buddy has had to deal with:

-began the month with his truck not running right, turned out to be a minor electrical issue
-wife crashes iroc camero and he fixes it on his own without contacting insurance
-wife manages to blow engine in firebird (their spare car) while hubby is fixing iroc, firebird is put on the honey do list
-son is victim of a hit and run in his recently purchased truck, so my buddy gets to deal with the car insurance

1992 Chevrolet Suburban with a ROLLED BACK ODOMETER!!!

- Radiator (they actually gave me this for free)
- Intake Manifold Gasket
- Valve Cover Gaskets
- Power steering gear (two times)
- power steering pump (two times)
- power steering hoses
- two upper control arms
- transmission pan gasket (four times)
- Alignment (three times)
- Catalytic Converter
- waterpump
- battery
- alternator
- Starter
- And probably more...I just can't remember any more...

And Yes, this was all in one month!! The guy I bought it from had rolled the odo back 100K miles!!

Yes, obviously the guys that were doing the work either REALLY SUCKED or I was REALLY LUCKY and got REALLY [sarcasm] GOOD [/sarcasm] parts!!!

And on the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

- alternator
- battery (fourth in a year because of the alternator)
- door lock actuator
- intake manifold gaskets (upper and lower, second time)
- valve cover gaskets (second time)

And yes, the guys who did the manifold gaskets REALLY sucked the job up...
