Is there some way to hook up a ps2 up to the laptop and use the screen as the ps2 screen. Kind of hard to word. Any help would be awsome. Stu

The only way I can see possible is if you have an s-cable out (from PS2) to your computer/video card that has a S-video in.
Just a Plain SE.

Component inputs (RCA) would be exactly what you need, though a laptop with component inputs would be HARD to find.

That's, compOSITE input. Component video is the Y/Cr/Cb set.
I haven't seen too many LAPTOP's with video in; just video out (via s-video or composite). Even if there are models that have video in, it's not like you could just plug it in and go as if it were a portable monitor. You'd still have to boot an OS with driver support and fire up a video app to handle the signal. And, it probably wouldn't be pretty.

No kidding!
Taking a signal designed for 646x486 (NTSC resolution) and displaying it on 1024x768 (more than likely higher, unless you have a 12" LCD).
Going up in resolution just adds pixels and makes the picture look like CRAP (exactly like digital zoom). Called interpolation.

I haven't had a problem with coaxial inputs via my TV tuner on my desktop with either 17" LCD (both running 1280x1024; one DVI, one VGA), personally. A TV tuner should suffice, IMO. Sometimes the tuner will force NTSC resolution when fullscreened - not sure how good that'd be with a laptop video driver, but I haven't had a problem when I did that with my old eMachines and old TV tuner (15" CRT).
