It dropped the car about 1.5 inches in the front and maybe 0.5 inch in the back. This is likely because the stock back springs were sagging.
The ride quality on the soft setting with the stock rubber is very good and only marginally stiffer than stock. With the 40 series Pirellis the ride is rather choppy even on soft but still acceptable for daily driving.
The handling is much improved as, frankly, the stock SVT suspension sucked (my stock 91 Escort GT on GT+4s could out handle it). The car is still no auto-crosser IHMO but is now a very respectable street car.
The stance of the car is excellent without ass sag and I have had no rubbing problems with the 18 inch rubber.
I would recommend the kit.
BTW there was NO backorder. I got the kit within days of my order.
