We pay $650/mo for our 3bdr 1 bath apartment. It's the top apartment in a house that was renovated about 50 years ago to be 2 apartments. Our landlord who lives downstairs said our rent almost covers the taxes on the place. It's so cheap because the house is now 200 years old, and so is the insulation. Approx $250/mo in the winter for heat. The property is amazing. Probably the largest lot in the city (about 1 full acre), which is really 5 zoned lots. It's a friggin huge yard that takes almost a whole case of beer to mow

I love the place, but with two kids, we're running out of room very fast.

$700/month rent for a 2 bedroom house. It's about 1800 sq/ft with an equal size basement. Its on a side street off of one of the busiest roads in Columbus. 1/3 acre, 1 car garage, and a garden . The price is extremely inexpensive for the neighborhood we live in. Everything else we look at was over $1000.

Was paying $1010 in rent for a 2BR condo, and that was a steal. Just bought a fixer-upper house, and the mortgage will be about $1300 more than that. Hopefully the market will stay rod-hot here so I can soon feel good about the purchase

I pay 670/month P&I, plus about 150/month to cover taxes/insurance, so about 820/month, though I pay extra on the mortgage principle so I level it off to 1k/month right now.

This is for a 3bdrm, 2.5 bath end unit, side entry, luxury townhome, 2500SF space including finished basement. 1 car oversized garage...which I can't currently fit a car in due to a bunch of crap...what is that saying about how only American's store a bunch of worthless crap in their garage while leaving their expensive vehicles sitting outside to weather the weather? Double wide concrete poured driveway can fit 4 cars if need be, which is nice.

We've talked about moving into a larger single family home (the 4th bdrm would really help) but we like our lifestyle the way it is and don't want to have a 2k/month mortgage payment weighing us down.

We pay $600/month for a 2 bedroom apt. with nothing included, so it comes up to about $800/month with light and heating, it's not bad compared to the $750 i used to pay in Mississauga for a 1 bedroom apt also nothing included

My husband and I purchased our first home back in July of last year. We were paying $650/mo. for a tiny little apartment.

Our mortgage is now $1,132.00 month and that includes our taxes and insurance.
