my dome light the center bulb keeps blowing out every time i put a new one in turns on then next time it blows.

i had the stock bulb in there for along time with a blue sleeve you get at autozone so it lights up blue the sleeve has has a melted hole in it after a 1yr and a half now i just use a plain bulb still blows anyone know why?

most likely there is a short someplace

Go buy new bulbs from somewhere else and make certain they are rated at 12 Volts.

It is impossible for any short circuit to blow a bulb in this circuit. If the short was before the bulb, the fuse would have blown. A short to ground on the other side of the bulb is normal as it is grounded anyway.

Either the replacement bulbs are rated for a lower voltage or they are defective.

you might consider running a check on the charging system to make sure you're not getting excessive voltage (over about 14.4V). Also, get a lower watt bulb to reduce the heat.
