Have 1998 Contour 2.5 , was told could swap to 3.0 with the 2.5 heads for more compression. Will this work with exhaust, computer and other things with no problem?
Thanks

Before you get creamed - yes or no, depending. The best answer for the most general question possible.

However, you should read this forum, search, and read the FAQs (that you'll find posted in threads I suppose). Most of us are more than happy to answer specific questions, once you've done that.

No you cannot. We just like to have a 3.0L forum so we can talk about future possibilities...

HA! No, you have the forum to specifically say it isn't possible! A WHOLE forum devoted to the answer to one particular question! And that answer IS....oi is right.

One smart butt answer is enough guys. Search Nazis and fun pokers may rule other boards, but I don't tolerate it much in here, especially to one post newbies. Be nice.

NOBRA14, hopefully you can take the gentle ribbing of most of the members. You can search a little bit to find most of your specific answers... The biggest point to make to you is that you will need 19# injectors if you are a non-SVT V6 because the stock 17# units go static at a low RPM = dangerously lean. A custom chip should be high on your list to make it run as good as it can, but it will run on the stock ECU albeit a little rough. 3L head gaskets and the rest comes from a 2.5 rebuild. Block modifications are needed with the 2.5L heads on the 3L block. Contact buckshot77@aol.com for more info on his prepped blocks, or visit http://www.buckshotmotorsports.com .
