i went to a mechanic where thay told me that part of my pcm was dead and come to find out its also the reason my fans are not working and i only get 200 miles our of a tank of prem gas . does any one know where i can get a pcm it is a 97bb-12a650-cc but was told that 4-121 (2.0L), AT, w/o Bi-fuel; std emis (Fed), 97BB-CB and CC will work . my car is a 1998 gl atx zetec. please help me with any info you might have.

tried both places and nothing was found so i left a part reqeust. anybody know somone that might have one for sale

PCMs don't fail very often.

Don't be surprised that, if, on replacing it, the problem is still there.

The symptoms you described sound more like other common problems that are frequently seen around here. A faulty ECT comes to mind...

PS. Premium fuel is a waste of money in this engine...

Changed the ECT 3 times . And the heat works all the time.Also fans only turn on with air or def on.Other than that thay dont come on at all.And i get about 100 more miles out of the gas i use.Thanks for your help anyway.
