I was looking at the gap for a customer when I noticed they listed a spark plug that is not in my Ford OEM parts catalog, this was listed in the Motorcraft catalog.

1998 2.5L SE and SVT
AWSF-32F-M replaced by SP432
1999 2.5L SE and SVT
AWSF-32-FM replaced by SP432

2000 2.5L SE
AWSF-32F-M replaced by SP432
2000 2.5L SVT
AGSF-22F-SM or Motorcraft SP459

Anyone ever heard of a different plug for the 00 SVT? I have a call into Ford but won't have an answer until tomorrow.
Hi Bill,

Yes, a colder plug is called for on the 2000 SVT. Presumably due to the higher compression. Some have posted here that using the same plug as the other V6 Contours works just fine. A few have even posted having problems with the colder plug. Conventional wisdom here seems to be that the standard heat range is fine even on somewhat modified engines and the colder plug not deeded or desired unless it is heavily modified.
