How about a car related post

What type of fuel economy are you guys getting? in town? on the highway?

What type of gas and which grade are you using?

Best fuel economy? worst?

The reason for this post is that I just got back from a nice long highway trip to Fort. Mcmurray and back. Made it in 1 tank! 832 KM with gas left in the tank.

I always use Petro Canada, mid grade - 89 octane.

Around town I usually get 450 km in summer and 375 in winter.

Worst I got was 250 km - in dire need of maintenance.

That's some great millage.

For my ATX Duratec I get 9.92L/100km or 23.5mpg highway.
as for city it's down right ugly! I use 87 octane.

I guess your trip to the Fort was with the SHO? Whay size is the tank?
as for the 95 & 97 zetec's.

69L tank on the SHO. Most I ever filled it before the trip was 62L, after the trip I made it to town and hit the nearest Petro as I could hear my fuel pump straining. I filled 70L. I must have been just about on fumes!

Damn those Zetecs are getting great mileage... I remember reading that the Duratec had much more power and didn't use much more gas then the Zetec

I fink it's the other way around. Zetec=a lot less HP but not a lot less slower and gets much better MPG considering.

The only time I could figure it out properly, I got 38 CDN MPG.

i was only getting 450kms per tank this weekend. car full of camping gear and 4 big guys doing no less than 130km/hr and reaching 170km/hr and driving uphill. usually i can get 600kms out of a full tank doing the limit.

The most I have been able to get out of my Zetec is 600km Hwy and 540km City using premium gas at Esso. My typical fill is up the fill tube at 52 litres.

I just had the fuel filter changed and a bottle of STP Fuel injector cleaner in the tank so I'll see if there is any improvement.

P.S. Long time since I've came to this site, been kind of busy.

Since doing the ypipe mod I've gone up to as hi as 37 on the hiway and usually get around 700k before I get nervous and fill up. In the city not so good because the exhaust is so much louder I'm always giving 'er

I'm getting about 430km a tank out of the Focus, not a small tank either. Stupid gas pedal...

I get around 15 mpg, or about 400 km per tank....around the city and using the high test, 94 octane from Husky/Mohawk.

Best I managed out of my Zetec was 730 kms. Still had 5L left in the tank at fill up. Was down in the red though. That was doing 110-120 the whole time.
