So whats up with the meet, I know there was a lot of interest in having one this summer in Edmonton. So who is coming out? and what kind of activities are you interested in?

I think I could find the time to meet up with you guys one day/evening this summer.I'd love to check out your cars. I've noted some very interesting/desireable mods in your signatures. Also, I've been active with the local SVTOA for the past year and we have a track meet coming up Aug.2 at Stratotech Park in FT. Sask. It's a good time. The track event is all Ford. We just had one last weekend. Lot's of Foci, Cobra's, Lightnings,a Saleen,and a couple of CSVT's. Last year, we had a guy racing a '66 Shelby GT 350. There is an entry fee to go on the track but just showing up and hanging out is free. All kinds of car types show up... but not enough 'tours. Whadaya think ?

I doubt you'll be passing me! According to some people thier Foci are faster than an SVT Contour, some even claim to have outrun a Corvette!

no not really i dont have a place in mind, i just want to see if there is still enough interest in the meet. we were talking about show'n'shine, dyno, and drag racing "take a look at the Canada meet thread from this winter". I did book the dyno for the meet back in the winter but wanted to make sure if people are still interested.
we can meet in any place at the track, at the dyno shop, or at any park, but lets see how many people will be showing up first.

I would be in, just need a definate date time and place. Dyno thing also sounds cool, I would like to try that too.

I guess you guys are the only ones that are still interested, what happened to the other guys that were hyped up about the meet back in the winter?

Brokk: the dyno we have here in Edmonton is a Mustang dyno so itâ??s a little different from Jet dynoâ??s, your numbers will be a little lower than the numbers you will see here on the forums. With all of my mods I only pushed 127hp, and I believe EdmontonSVT pushed 129hp. But I guess itâ??s a good enough to see gains/loses after new mods, the only thing Iâ??ve done since my last dyno is wheels/rotors/brakes/mounts+inserts probably Iâ??ll run a little lower this time around plus the weather is hotter and more humid now.

Events at the Budpark: July 18th Power 92 Street legal and on the 20th JBâ??s fastest street car shootout and Battle of the imports. I also had the dyno booked for the Saturday the 19th. So you guys decide what you want to do and what days you can make it to Edmonton so we can decide on a meeting place. I will be in Edmonton from Friday evening thru till Sunday night ready to meet with anyone that shows up.

I was just talking to the dyno owner confirming that the meeting is still a go and few guys will show up, he needs at least one person. So the dyno is a go since i'm dyno testing my car, but i'm just curious to know who else is interested in the dyno and when you guys will be arriving into Edmonton. That sucks,I was checking in when I was in montreal with J-Lab to see if it was still going on,but it didn't look too
promising and I didn't want to bust a hump to get back and drive out if no-one wanted to meet. Sucks doesn't it
but I kinda had the same reaction last year when I tried to get anything together. Looks like me and honeytonk
will continue to see if anything else happens...

That's the way it goes. I was in Edmonton when the meet was supposed to happen, but no one else with me wanted to go so we went to Alberta Beach instead for the week. I ws kinda pissed none of my friends wanted to check out some Contours but majority rules I suppose.
