Who's coming from the longest distance

The reason I ask is because maybe we can have a "Long haul" award, complete with a fuel card

I have already bought some of the door prizes, so its just an idea

i'll be comin from NJ. guess its not that bad of a haul

At SZ02' we had a Mystique come in from Colorado and a Tour from FLA, as well as a Young America Editon Mystique from FLA that 130K on it...original clutch still

The Contique community does travel and I hope to see a couple of the nice rides from out west make it out, hint, hint Dion

I'm a fairly new contour owner with a nice lookin ride who wishes to attend the (hopefully still on) friday night cruise and hang around during the day on saturday, Nothin more. I live nearby so Im crashin at home. Do I need to register on the website, or do I just show up on the itenarary times. Don't plan on participatin' in anything (newbie, just gettin feet wet, puttin names to faces, and such) or eatin (nothin but BK for me). I guess to summerize this jargin I have wrote, the registration website is just the register so you get to play on the karts, eat the junkfood, get a new polishin rag (t-shirt) and play on a dyno (which I know is additional). If we don't wish to participate in that, we don't have to register then, correct?

Strangely, when that 2-25-04 deadline comes up....I see my self registering...hmm

You might get away with 4. I think they anticipate 2, but shouldn't be a problem for more. You'll have to call and ask the Hotel directly.

I hope all potential attendees register for the Banquet/Grand Prix/Show & Shine. There is no obligation to use the Hotels listed. Feel free to stay in your car, at home, a friends place or where ever you pass out (ask JVT or MY99SVT).

Participation at all SZ activities will be controlled by arm bands. Crash if you must, but do not expect to be well recieved by those of us who do Register and pay. Also, the menu has not been finalized, but it will be far from junk food.

I want to come out and hang out, and meet everyone. I have a CSVT but i don't think i want to do the dyno thing and whatnot. Do I still need to register ? and also how much does it cost ?

You can come and hang out at the show and shine, watch us at the dyno and come along on the cruize, but I don't think you'll be able to park with the masses at the sho and shine. The registration covers your food, go-karting and the show and shine (don't forget about being eligible for the "Best of Show" award

) Look at it like this, register and your covered!

i hope to register this week end....money is VERY sparse for me right now, and i have to cover for my friend who is coming, since he's away. We have till the 25th right?

TWELVE DAYS to go

and we still have the same (6) people that have been up on the official registration post.

Is there anything going on may 20th???? Thats the day the OKCEGers are going to leave to come up.

We don't want to miss anything and so far the events planned and there is nothing on that date.

So if anyone could shed some light on this question for me it would be great.

I will be attending the SZ this year for the first time. I'm coming from RI so thats a pretty good distance. I will be bringing a friend along with me and had a few questions. I read up on the payment information and its 80 for the banquet. But what if I have a friend come with me. Is it going to be 80 for him too? Also, am I reading the price of the hotel correctly? $89? Is that per night or for the weekend?

The $89.00 is per night for sure. As far as your friend, you'll have to PM Trapps but I think he's out of town until next week. You can try him or Brand Noon and see what they say

i read that you must regaster for the show and shine. how much is it to regaster? and can you get a shirt without doing the banquet deal?

Not out of town, just busy. The show and Shine is for registered participants, it is part of the Banquet - not an additional cost. T Shirts will be able to be ordered in advance, separate fron the banquet.

Yes, because the pricing won't be broken apart for individual items. But look at it this way, they get the whole experience too!

a friend of mine wants to go with me, but in his line of work he doesnt know if he can take time off more than a month in advance.
so... is it possible for him to register fairly late, like the end of april?
we dont want to pay for him and then have him not be able to take tiem off.

What's the latest on doing an open track event? Since we're looking at doing the show and shine at a track and SCCA is supposed to be doing an event that day as well, does anyone have a contact for the SCCA to see if we can join in on whatever they're doing?

Mark, those of us who paid in full for the banquet and deposit on the dyno, when do we need to pay the rest for the dyno, before or the day of the dyno

It's due at the dyno when we show up.

Scca is doing a full blown road racing event that weekend. It will provide great spectating but I doubt many here have full competition liscenses.

I see. Is anyone local doing an auto-x either day or can we talk a club into hosting one if we get a certain number to sign up. I missed it in past years and really wanted to hit it if it happened this year.

Where EXACTLY is this thing? I have never been, and I need more specific directins than just an intersection of highways. Any help would be nice.

It's based in downtown Detroit Michigan but the events are in various places around Detroit.

Door prizes are being handed out on the night of the banquet, Saturday and let me tell you this, we have alot of things to pass out, thats for sure

Whats the last day for registration. I have 3 friends dying to go. This will be our first road trip so they are all hyped to go. One comes back on friday and he is paying me then, the other is waiting for his paycheck and the other has the money ready. I just need to know the deadline. Thanks

Hey, got a question I hope it hasn't been addressed, but I don't quite feel like looking through the 7 pages of posts to see. Is it possible to pay a smaller Reg fee if all we can attend is the show and shine? I have a crap load of stuff happening that weekend and all I can participate in is the show. I don't know if I'll have the full $80 to pay for everything or if I even want to when I can't do the racing or cruise or dinner, but i really would like to be able to park inside with everyone else. Any chance of that being possible??

The show and shine is open to registered people only as far as showing the cars goes. It would be too difficult to split all the items out a-la-cart so it's pretty much all or none.

Alrighty, thanks Rick. I had a feeling it would be like that. I just hope I can afford the $80 then.....

Don't feel bad, I only paid the deposit and I still have to pay the remainder even though I found out about a wedding that afternoon on the West side, so I'll have to slide out without the show N Shine and the food... That is two years in a row now. Paid for food, and I don't get to eat... LOL!

quick question about the dyno...

i have class on friday morning that i cant miss from 9:20 - 11:10... is there a setlist for the dyno? if so can i be placed somwhere later around noon? just dont want anyone to think i punked out on the dyno. i need to be there to represent the SE's!

Same question about the dyno.. I'm working tomorrow and need to know what time I can show up (probably not out of work till noon or so in Dearborn)..

We have the dyno till 3:00 p.m., so just get to the dyno ASAP and BTW, its off of Groesbeck, S of M-59/Hall Rd, on the W side of street (Macomb Ind something or another)

Yea I am a bit disapointed that no one has posted some type of dyno schedule. I no two people that said they would be at the dyno after 3:00

. I beleive we may run into a problem. Mostly for us locals, since were close by are still trying to put in a few hours at work, school etc... Like I said before, I wouldn't be suprised that everyone shows up at once

What kind of schedule do you want? The dyno opens at 8:30. If you've paid be there. That's how it works.

Did you even read what I said? I like others have to take care of things before we go, like grown ups some of us have real jobs or go to school. So I would like to know when some people are going, so we can still fit in. I also noted some well known members on here were planning on showing up after 3:00. Obvioulsy if it we have it until 3:30 thats not going to work well. Also I paid and won't even have my car there, I maybe dynong something else instead. Some people

100% correct and for what its worth, we were on the dyno well after 3:30 p.m. too. This falls in line with the people who couldn't afford to save $20.00 a month for SZ04' as you've had over 6 monthes to make sure you have that day off, period. Sorry you couldn't make it out because we had a great time on the dyno as everyones car kicked ass!

When can we expect tshirts to be mailed out?
