What's on everyone's list?

Since I picked up JVT's SVT last Friday 4/28 I have done...
Plug wires, new vac tube that runs from the brake booster to the UIM, new Bendix Ti pads and freshly turned rotors for the Baers, new driver side side skirt with fresh paint from the body shop. Fixed the leaking driver axle. Replaced the trans seal and discovered it was a poorly designed axle clip on an aftermarket axle that was causing the leak. Axle wasn't in all the way! Got an OEM style clip and was good to go. Now know how to replace trans seals. LOL!

Found junyard parts to fix the sunroof motor, grabbed a trunk reflector in great condition at the yard (had a screw in it holding the chrome piece down). LOL! A new Monster power distribution block will go in tonight. Currently has a bolt tieing them together! Sometimes have to wiggle to start the car! Went Sat. to a local shop to get the exhaust mended. Was told by JVT exhaust was bent. The bolt on tips were just pushed up the piping. $20 to have them tacked on and to have a slight leak mended. Action Auto Glass is coming to my work tomorrow to replace the front windshield with OEM PPG glass(slight crack). Still have to dehaze the headlights, touch up some chips, and detail the heck out of it. Oh and new shift cable ends will be here Thurs. Bushings are kind of missing on mine.

lol... jeesus!

here's mine...

installed a bunch of stuff, including...

bbk throttle body, TFS intake plenum, 255lph fuel pump, compucar nitrous kit.

odered a new shift knob with nitrous button, should be coming in today.

delayed my tuning session until next week.

installed a new o2 sensor (apparently you need all these functioning correctly for a dyno tune... pisshaw!!!)

still left to do...

get drag radials mounted on spare set of bullitts..
get a floor jack that isn't a pile of crap...
finish up wiring nitrous system...
get car tuned with a diablo flip chip...
clean and wax car...
go to SZ and whip hectors evo back to IL.

Finished the trailer ramps project so we could load the creampuff onto the trailer.
You all can have a good laugh at our expense when we have to assemble and dismantle this piece of work.
Still need to do a wash/wax on both the truck and the SVT.
Truck needs some vacuuming.
Need to also change the tonneau cover from winter position to summer.
lol, so I guess mostly truck/trailer stuff to prepare for the trip.

Another thing that stinks. The truck only has single cd player, while the SVT has the 12 disc changer.
Looks like I'm going to have to burn some mix cd's. bleh

Oh that reminds me. Need to pull the 10 disc from the SHO and put it in the SVT.

I have this one. Only 3000 lbs but I don't lift the entire car with it.

12" POLK MOMO AND AMP.... I havn't had a system in almost 3 years!

I wish I had more new cool stuff, but it's hard to make a '95 SE MTX, Leather, sunroof, etc.., look better or make it perform better than it already does.... ya know? hehe


AND custom aluminum adjuster knobs for my konis... yum

Things done this week?

Nothing.

I left Friday the 5th to go to England and France for work. I won't be back home until Saturday the 13th.

I did give the car a good spring cleaning and wax a couple weeks ago to get ready. Also put on the BAT intake, magnecores, autolite plugs, new rear rotors and pads, flushed the brake fluid... basic stuff. But I knew I was leaving for this trip so I had to do those things all in April.

Need to set up the install for the intake. When I couldn't figure out how to get the vacuum hoses off, I know it was time to pay someone.

I'm pretty much set, I just need to claybar and rewax the car. I supppose learning the new camera will be one full day sometime this week

I don't have the time to touch up the caliper paint (or do I?) so looks like I'm rolling in rusty. It's alright though, you can only do so much!

I've done---

Went to SC, repainted the car Land Rover Java Black, Mirko Splitter painted but not mounted, put it back together, replaced all wheel studs, did the rear brakes, Stazi sway bar end links, Bradness tubular toe control arm and trailered it back to Maryland.

This week will be 18" OZ Superlegera's with Cooper Zeon ZPT's (in my living room now), rear end alignment and new headlamps from Bill Jenkins.

A whole bunch of stuff....still need to diagnose and fix multiple exhaust leaks and get some last minute tuning done.

Lets see, things done so far...

new h2o pump, leaked after the first install, so did that twice
exhaust from the heads back, nice leak in there to fix
rearranged a-pillar pod for new gauges
oil filter relocation
battery now in trunk
some other fun stuff to debut at SZ

Still needs to be done...

exhaust needs to be tweaked by a shop to hang properly
replace a band clamp with proper flange
i am sure there is more, but cant think of them right now, too stressed about it

ps, if any chicago cegers can suggest a good SCT dealer to tune for me on like Mon and/or Tues of next week that would be great. I am in the W Subs

Turbo= stock on Evo.

Anywho added/changed:

1. K&N cone
2. Transfer case fluid
3. Rear diff fluid
4. Transmission fluid
5. Oil


Getting done:

1. Wax and buff
2. Spark plugs
3. Checking everything over

as long as you're in my rearview mirror, it pretty much doesn't matter how i accomplish it, right Z06 killer?

with as much as i've invested in nitrous, i could have gotten the same results on pure motor... but i like the option of having a pretty normal driving car 99% of the time.

Distribution block done. One of the crimped on ends was just kind of hanging there. Now I know why it needed to be jiggled.

That's beside the point.....what it comes down to is you have a mojor power adder....stock or not, so why should he not be allowed the same luxury to level the playing field?

I even screw this up for a minute last weekend. On the coil I plugged in the rear wires 123 instead of 321 and it misfired nonstop - once I fixed it, it was all good.

FINISHED:

UIM/LIM gaskets, valve cover gaskets & spark plug tube seals, cleaned IAC, EGR gasket(never installed it last cleaning! ), rear O2 sensor replaced, new Autolite double platinum plugs, Autolite plug wires.

TO DO:

Remove Nitrous kit, swap out T/B threaded for nitrous w/ new 65mm T/B, replace front O2 sensor, install the brand new oil pressure gauge that Autometer sent me after I sent mine in for a broken needle, hose clamp one of the PCV lines that MIGHT be causing this intake leak I've had, repair a couple of chips in the Mirko splitter, and hopefully get my amp & rear deck sub hooked up. Oh, and possibly fix my non-working foglights.

all that is fine, I check that like everyday. I have 2 major vacuum leaks that I will hopefully fix tommorow. They are the 2 vacuum lines that run off my DPFE sensor..there is no line there. Maybe that explains why my car runs like arse..we'll see tommorow..wish me luck

Idk, that may be, but it may only be a temp fix. It may be perm...idk. I'm glad the champions are working out for ya!

I am getting a slight miss now, but that is 1.4k miles with codes p0151 and p0155. I am going to replaced bank 2 sensor 1 and then replace the plugs again.

From what I have been reading and now EXPERIENCED! I believe that the champs are better than the autolites. I was fouling out a set of those in 50 to 100 miles of installation. These champs held fine for 1.4k miles under the same code my old 2.5L had.

That o2 sensor is the only thing that came back onto my 3L from the 2.5L! The plugs were brand new along with the coil AND the magnacores were fine I tested them.

So guru's could a bad o2 sensor cause a rich condition that would in turn cause me to foul my plugs out over a period of time and cause a now slight misfire!?

Tomorrow I am going to swap the sensor and replace the plugs...wish me luck!

I got new lower control arms on my car and I got a wonderful alignment last night I am either getting my money back or making sure they get it how I want since I payed for lifetime alignments

car is at the dealer now getting the AC checked out, filled it the other week since the pressure was so low it wouldn't turn the compressor on and about 3 days later it was back to the same thing, die didn't yeild anything that I could notice

man Pete I wouldnt call it as me being all set, my car is like soo unpredictable..but I just hope it gets me to SZ and back..on the road too, not a trailer
