lol, i used to live in ND, and MT, I don't remember much about North Dakota or South Dakota. Only Montana and Wyoming. Never been to nebraska.

I rather liked the scenery in Wyoming (well, off of I-80, that is...)

I just received my CP-E intake with MAF customizer... will have it installed and ready for the dyno... can't wait to see the numbers!

chances are i will be there! ive been wanting to go the past few years but this year seems to be the most practical so far. i'm not looking forward to the 14hr ride, but i know a lot of you have seen pics of my car and ive seen a lot of pics of your cars over the years, and it would be great to have a pic of them all together! i won't be dynoing because when i do dyno it i am going to beat the hell outta it. if something blows way out in indiana, that would really suck. besides, its not fast... (yet).

Technically yes, but I would prefer to have all payments before SZ, that way I can actually put the money towards stuff that needs to be payed for. (i.e. meal, tshirts, doorprizes, etc)

Sorry guys looks like I am gonna be a maybe right now. Things started looking good but I got a bad review at work. Guess I am not doing good enough cause I had an emergency vacation day cause my girl got in a serious accident, and then cause I felt like crap and called in sick on the slowest day of the week. So now they said, if I do anything or miss any days, I am terminated. Well that means I need to save my money. I am still gonna try to reserve a room. But I think it will just be my buddy and I that way if I need to cancel no worries on any other CEGer. If I can come I will post 1-2 weeks before the meet. Sorry everyone I was so looking forward to it. I hope all goes well. I may just find a new job instead... If I do I will be coming 100% if they give me the days off.

I know 01 and 02 were pretty big.
For some reason, 84 cars sticks in my mind, but that could have been people.

We had 80 something throughout the weekend of the '01 SZ in K'zoo. We had SHO's in there too though.

Just from a picture in my room of SZ 02, I counted ~70 cars from the hotel parking lot. I cant remember if it was SZ 01 or SZ 02, but it was rougly about 85 cars which included contiques, sho's, cougars, foci, etc and 100+ people.

This year may not be the largest turnout, but it could be the largest contique turnout since previous years have had groups attend to.

Seriously, the people that aren't signing up are doing themselves a disservice.

SZ is the materialisation of the CEG - if you don't show up, you're a poser!

do a little scrubbing and then put the hood up to show everyone how clean your engine bay is

even if some people feel they have nothing to show, it still looks damn cool having a row of 'tours showing with their hoods poppped.

To put this into perspective, Dynotech has put over 60 cars through a dyno in 8 hours, with all cars getting 2 pulls each. So in other words, we have a TON of time on the dyno so $50 will get you pleanty of pulls, so bring that easy to install mod that you wanna see swapped out on the dyno, then we'll know for sure how much power certain mods make(ie: throttle body, intake manifold, BAT pipe). Where will you EVER find a better deal than $50 for more than 2 pulls AND an a/f ratio with a printoff? I would have thought people would be fighting over this opportunity!!

Like i told Jim if my car is back together by then i'm down for sure. I'd sign up this week if i knew there was someone there that could retune my SAFC for me. Also i've got a mustang throttle body we can try and few different MAF's. Maybe we could finally get some conclusive evidence on some mods people are thinking about doing.

We know the TB will make no power on a N/A motor though.

Now someone needs to calculate how many cars ar attending so far.

Nother noob to the afc, can this be done to any car?? Even if it's not chipped... say MY SVT?? I'm gonna answer my own question and say yes, since the GM tech 2 has the ability to do the same thing to GM cars. If so, I think Stazi will have enough rounds to stay drunk until the next SZ.

It'll work on any car with a MAF, MAP or Karman Vortice Air Flow sensor.

What are S-AFC's running now? Still $350+

picked mine from ebay for 2 and some change..like 225.00?? much cheaper than the apex'i site.....its a good idea to have one if you've changed the maf, injectors, air flow etc...

Last night i talked to a non member with a 98 black svt. He visits the site from time to time for mods. I told him about the SZ and he seemed 100% interested. As soon as he signs up for the site, i'm sure he'll be registering.

I think he may be confused in that its not a tuning device in the sense of something you just plug in. It is a permanent fixture in a single vehicle, but can be tuned with wideband once installed. Now where did i leave that $50 in change? Hmm......

I might dyno but it will be a last min thing, have to see how the funds are..

Spending some doe to get the car ready with the new mods before then....

i was kinda in the same situation, started working a few weeks ago, I just said I had a previously planned trip and it was all set up and that I would be out these dates and it wasn't an issue, then again I am not getting vacation pay either, well not yet so in a way it doesn't matter

i mentioned it to one of my interviewers that i had a planned trip with a nonrefundable deposit and non refundable hotel reservations for three nights..they said that they werent the ones to talk to about it..so i'll see in a few days...

i would just be honest and upfront and if they have a problem with it I would say I wouldn't want to work for em anyway

I mean its over a month away and you would be telling them now about, not like you dropped it on them a week before

I agree, I would state it up front that I would not be available those days.

I would not necessarily expect them to be considered paid time off (they may not pay you for those days) but I don't think its unreasonable to expect them to allow you those days off.

The way I see it though is that those that don't go will regret it seeing the turnout we have so far. It's always fun to see all the different flavours of mods, and the faces behind the names at SZ. A lot of the time it makes some of the punks "wisen" up after realising who they've been BS'ing too, and after seeing some of the work gone into the "upper-echelon" Contours it can be humbling, even for me (whenever Rick shows off

). It's a great learning experience for everyone.

But now I know almost for sure im not going to make it to SZ, I just found out that Prom is May 21st... so IF I go to SZ, I would have to go thursday and friday, and come back up to Midland Saturday. I dont know how well that would work out. As much as I want to go, Prom is a little more important to me and my girlfriend. I will keep you updated and talk to my mom and girlfriend about all of it to see what happens.
