Just curious if 3g's was to much for a brand new tranny, new LUK svt clutch, and a resurfaced flywheel??? So for you americans it's about 2200.
The tech said that since my syncros were messed up it'll cost about 1000 to rebuild with new parts, 1200 for a rebuilt one or 1700 for a new one. The svt clutch costed 600 and the labour was 700. That again is in canadian. Has anyone dealt with a rebuilt tranny? Are they still good? Or am I better off spending the extra bux and get the new one?

It's a stealership. What do you think? I think you know the answer. I'm having Terry haines go through mine and install a Quaife for about $1600.

Ditto.

Terry Haines + Quaife + Focus shift tower = $1660.

Then my shop did the removal/install.

After getting a 2000 MTX75 transmission that was in perfect shape and almost no milage on it at all (no need for the upgraded shift forks or shift tower....it already has them ) shipping, and having Terry add a Quaife LSD and a Zetec final drive to it and I'm still under $1500 including the purchase price of the updated transmission.

Geez guys I cant get anything done right in this stupid city. I went literally everywhere and every single person quoted me in arounds the same price. They all said a new clutch would be about 500 (350USD), and the labour alone to pull the tranny 700(500USD). Then they have to either rebuild what's gone wrong or get me a new MTX75. Either way I have to do it somewhere cuz I need this thing to move. So i'm pretty much SOL. I tried messaging bill for some parts but I haven't got an answer from him. Until then i'm just going to have to settle for that price.
