Alright, I'm putting my trans in right now and am stuck. Right now the transmission is all bolted in, p.s. lines are attached, shift cables attached, subframe attached, and the rear roll restrictor bracket is attached. Now I just put pole's poly mount in but everything doesn't seem like it is lining up like it should. I'm trying to get everything straight but its not going so hot. Do you need the powertrain alignment tool to take over the front motor mount, even if you have poly filled front and rears? After I get everything lined up and bolted in the rest should go quickly but I'm stuck right now. Can anybody help me out a bit?

A few pictures that might be of some assistance

Well when you bolted the SF back up did you put a deep well socket through the alignment holes to the body? That's all I've done. You still have to move the cherry picker around, jack it up and down. 2 ppl makes it a lot easier.

Well made the checks and double checks on everything and was able to drop my car and take it out for the first time in almost a month. I got a HMS transmission with quaiffe, spec stage 1 clutch, spec aluminum flywheel, ford TOB and slave cylinder, and new axles. I filled up the tranny with 2.something quarts of the ford $52 crap and now when I first take my car out, under deceleration and deceleration only, my differential is making the same grinding noise it was when my ford one was going out. Is this something that will be going away or is this something to worry about, cause with $3,500 in parts alone, I don't think there should be anything going wrong. Please help

If its the same noise, then its probably something else going out. Does it do it under the same conditions? I do not know much about the grinding noise since I just got my svt, but can you describe it?

I ran Ford Honey in my transaxle as well and it did the same thing. I switched to 2.6L of Torco MTF and it shifts like butter.

Well the last post got my curiosity going so I decided to drain the honey that was in there to see what it looked like. IT WAS DAMN NEAR BLACK AND SLIGHTLY MILKY with 160 miles on the new driveline!!! Now I really don't know what to do. The one thing I do know is that tomorrow Terry is getting a call from me

May I suggest a used oil analysis?

Well I talked with Terry today and he was very helpfull as usual. Now that I think about it the color of the fluid was perfectly normal for a freshly coated gearbox, the excess has to clean itself out. I'm gonna look over my entire driveline tomorrow to make sure everything is still in check.

P.S. I didn't mean for what I said to hint anything against Terry's work, it was a Sunday and I didn't want to bother him so I figured I'd ask a few of you first as to what to try out. I would still highly recommend him to anybody
