I choose to install fedora core 5 on my laptop.

Install went fine but when I tried to start it up all I get is "Preparing machine to load "Linux""....... Then it just sites there I'm curretly trying to tri boot, Windows, osx, Linux. I choose not to use Fedora's boot manager but use BootMagic by Norton.

Any Ideas what I may have done wrong.

My guess would be the boot manager not know where to look or how to load the initrd from FC. I'm not familiar with BootMagic, so I really can't tell you what to do other than to make sure it is pointing to the /boot partition. I imagine you'll still have to GRUB to boot FC. Did you setup GRUB on your /boot partition (e.g. `grub-install /dev/hda4`)?

Another thing you could do is a repair install for Windows... you will lose your ability to multi boot at this point, but at least it gives you a useable computer.

Then you can try again with another boot loader or figure out what you did wrong with this one.

All the other OSs will remain, just no way to access them until you replace the Microsoft one.

...At least that's my experience with Mandrake about 6 years ago.
