I just ran across this on ebay. I've always loved these little micro-cars, and Fiats in general (I have an X1/9 project car). When I saw the auction title say "Ferrari killer" I snorted and opened the page anyway.
All I can say is "HOLY CRAP!" Somewhere close to 380 horse power in a car that weighs maybe 1500 pounds!
I have to say I really dig the goofy paint job too!
I can really hear the dude's german accent while reading his "english" !!!
Za' Kickazz' Kar! Un-pimp zis, beyotch!
Think we can convice BDK to take a road trip to test drive this thing?
Dammnnn!
I hate to blow the engine while driving that monster.
Trapps - Do you have any more shots of that X1/9? And do you have those pics in hi-res??
No other pics, but I know the owner. I'll see if any others, or hi res pics, are on line. The car is driven and driven well at Gingerman and Grattan. He's done an amazing job building it from the ground up. It's the proverbial go kart on rails with a sweet exhaust note that will curl your toe nails.
that is fekking awesome!!!
Love the one pictured above.
As for the one on Ebay, well, you could always strap a rocket to a turd and have it go fast. But it's still a pile of $hit at the end of the day...
Definitly worth the time to check out. However, that short of a wheelbase and aerodynamics like that makes me wonder about the stability of the thing when it actually gets into the power. I bet its fun but pretty scary.
