I know its a little simple for me to talk about this but i have to share in the good luck i have fallen onto yesterday. I was at a local collectible card shop looking for a Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin rookie card for my father in law. Not to my suprise there was none to be had. So i stuck around the shop looking at all the other awesome cards i could never afford and the clerk and I were just chatting and he mentions to me that i might get lucky and "pull" one from a pack. So i say why not and picked out 4 packs at random and had the clerk pick one. I pulled an ovechkin rookie worth 200 bucks out of the pack that the clerk picked for me and to top it all off he has been trying to get the same card for the last couple of months. I got a hell of a deal, a 200 dollar card for 20 bucks.

Not my card but the exact same card that i pulled.

I'm going to keep it as a gift for my father in law. I'm sending it to beckett to get it graded. I'm going to try for a crosby and malkin rookie, but i doubt i will get that lucky.

But to let you know i got a Cam Barker jersey/patch card and a dion phaneuf rookie card. You a leafs fan??

nice pull.....my best pull was out of a basket ball pack.....A vince Carter Rookie Jersey card.....it looked like it came from a patch because it had 3 differnt colors....card was worth about 3-400 dollars....not bad for a 3 buck pack.....

why would you send it to beckett to get graded? if its in good shape when you pulled it out of the pack id have just sleeved it and encased it in one of those resin/plastic cases. Chances are you send it out to get graded and itll get damaged.

the reason for sending it to beckett to get it graded is because it will increase the value of it. plus the sleeve that beckett puts it into is a water tight seal plastic sleeve that allows you to see the front back and the edges of the card.
