Just wanting to know the different styles of hoods available for a 2000 SVT contour I don't want just a carbon fiber replacement.

Your choices are slim to none.

I swear I've seen some different styles other than those 3.

that would be called custom work. find a hood that you like, buy it and do some cutting and bondo work. other than that idea, you only have 3 maybe 4 hoods to choose from..

hoods to choose from ...

in CF
- Cowl hood
- OEM hood

or Unpainted OEM.

thats it unless you do custom work...

thats because i did a search for 98+ contours and that came up under fiberglass hoods. i talked to a friend with a csvt and he told me that they have both generations available. his neighbor has one on her car. im thinking about ordering it next week

i'd be down if you could get it in CF
Posted By: Black 98 CSVT Re: styles of hoods - 07/10/06 01:50 AM
i know, i wish they still made those in cf i guess this is the best i can do unless i come up with a cf one for that price. but thats really doubtful

they have the mold and all....could it be possible for them to make it in CF? It Would not hurt to ask them. Or maybe they could outsource it to someone who could?

I know there is ALOT of ppl wanting this hood in CF

could be interesting to bring this gb back. a lot of people would definately jump at the chance to pick up a cf hood like this

Ya I almost got one of those. The shop is right by my house.

Only issue is that Andy's wasn't the place we got the Evo style CF hoods from... we got it from WaysonUSA directly (only 2.5 years later... ).
Posted By: teamSVTour Re: styles of hoods - 07/10/06 05:26 PM
Isn't Andy's a little more reputable than Wayson? That being said perhaps the turnaround would be ALOT shorter than the 2.5 year fiasco. More like a couple weeks

I would like that in carbon fiber... as long as I didn't have to sell my first born to get it

I own this hood...

its beautiful unfortunately mine arrived damaged by DHL and they denied my claim... I was told I would have to wait another 6-8 months for another one to arrive from Wayson via overseas container if I wanted to order another one.

I'll be fixing it myself one of these days soon... I'm just one of those people who will fix it and immediately paint it instead of driving around ghetto primer style.

Notice the difference in shape near the headlights.. I'm pretty sure that the other one that was posted WILL NOT fit a 98+ as its completely wrong at the front end..

Yea thats the hood we are talking about. But we want it in CF. And from a more reputable company than Wayson.

I know but the original poster in this thread was asking what hoods in FIBERGLASS were available for his 2000 Contour
