Thanks to everyone who was able to make it for Supermeet I, it was really swell
I promise my SVT will be out of storage and ready to go for Supermeet II in June. Here's the plan:
June 12 (Saturday)
Great Lakes Dragaway, Union Grove, WI
3:00pm-???
Map and directionsAdmission to race is $25, spectators are $12
Don't forget to bring a helmet if you run less than 14s (not me).
We'll leave the track when everyone gets too hungry to race anymore. I don't know of any restaurants near the track, but there are plenty around my house (about 15-20 miles away). IL people feel free to suggest anything near the state line. I'll check to see if tailgating is allowed on the grounds.
Any other ideas/suggestions, let me know!

Yeah right after the Miller tour, you almost took the wrong turn, and I had to swerve to go the right way.
yes, a few times we had to go across 3 lanes of traffic to get to an exit ramp.
The quick slow down for the cop after dinner was interesting, also.
You guys missed the best part... It starting raining after bowling. So Joe and I are on the way back to my house traveling south on 27th street. I'm heading through a green light and out of nowhere this aqua '95 Contour GL (I got a good look at the back of the car) turns from a side street right in front of me. I was about 5 feet from hitting the dumba$$, laying into my horn and the brakes the whole time.
The funny part was that after the ordeal we were still behind this car, and they happened to be making the same turns as us. At one point, they tried flooring it to get away from me, which didn't work too well for them. That car was a dog

About 10 or 11 total. And you definitely don't have to have anything special to come. Hell, Joe drove his Bimmer and Sean, well, you just have to see his car in person I guess.

Well, if we reschedule, we'd have to have it on July 31 or August 21. There aren't too many open Saturdays, and I can't make it down to the track on Fridays.
Saturday or sunday works better for me. I'd rather meet on a saturday then a friday.

Well thank you, but im not celebrating anything until my fingerprints come back clean, so far its been taking an awfully long time. Its been 6 months with no job, if all goes well, svt at the end of the year. *fingers f-ing crossed* And this should be right on time, my transmission overheated again on our roadtrip last week... This is the worst overheat since my first ceg meet racing steve and hector to aurora. I think it was almost exactly a year ago too.

Well first it was Asthma, then Pnumonia, now it's back to Asthma. Todays doc gave me a script for three differnt things, a $150 inhaler, $100 antibiotic, and a $9.99 steroid. I got the steroids. I already spent $70 on a set of antibiotics for Viral Pnumonia, now he wants me to take one for bacterial pnumonia. I can afford it, but I am gonna try the cheap one first, and the doc was fine with that.
The worst part is I have insurance, nothing covers these meds. Plus I am missing work.
I know how you feel. For a good part of my childhood I was diagnosed with having chronic bronchitis. Eventually it was found that I have asthma. Fortunately I've mostly grown out of it now.
I had a cough for a year, no one could figure it out until on doc went "Hey, you have Asthma" and within days I was much better.
Asthma is gay just like allergies...I think I finally figured out for sure I'm allergic to cats...we have 11 now outside and the more I play with them the crappier I feel....I really feel like going outside and doing some target practice
So, is this thing still on for the 21st?? Everyone still in agreement?

The CSVT isn't quite legal for GLD....but the Dmax is. I may have to come there and hand Ov3n his azz with my truck
Actually, Tony, I talked to "someone" from GLD at the last SVTOA meet and he said you shouldn't have to worry about the battery thing. Just don't say anything when you get tech'ed in.

99 SE you guys would be better meeting up on I-94. Otherwise you'll be back tracking some what through the state. One warning on I-94 they have it down to one lane before Oconomowoc...get off on Willow glen road or in sullivan and take hwy 18 then get back on I-94 or cut through Waukesha. Just a little advice

How important is a battery kill switch? I just ordered some more parts last night and I'm getting pretty short on cash.
BTW, I just noticed that my power steering pump has started to leak.
Will I pass tech with a leaky PS pump and no switch?

I pussyfooted it on all three runs and only managed a 16.7 as a best time.
Ov3n managed to whip me good on a couple runs (videos forthcoming). Now that I know what I'm doing on the track (mostly) I will try and work on my R/T and 60' times. My tires suck, so hopefully next spring I can save up for some better tires and that will help, too.

Hey, I rode with you on the last run and that was pretty sweet!! Yeah, ov3n with pole120 at shotgun hauled, but I think for a newb racer you did fine. I thoroughly enjoyed the run in your CSVT!!! Hopefully I will have a CSVT down there (with your license plate idea on the plates) and you can ride with me when I'm a newb racer!! LOL! Thanks again for the ride man! Ouch That doesn't sound like fun...I had to do my brakes Friday night cause they got down to the wear marks or whatever (I think they were the originals!!! My car only has 48k on it) So, that was fun. I guess those are good enough excuses not to race Maybe we'll go for a run next time if I don't already have my CSVT... Good luck with your probs!
