i am home. the drive was fantastic. i even went through downtown because the weather was sooooo nice. i like detours by the lake.

Just woke up. I made it home around 11:00am Chicago time. Then fell asleep.

got home safe and sound about 1:30 our time - my developing misfire back when we first entered Indiana progressivly got worse as we got further into the ride home.... time for new plugs, wires, and/or coil pack..... later dudes! - and congrats to all in our hood on the awards! - JOE
I got back around 5:30 our time. Drive wasn't too bad, weather made it go by quickly.
I was just lucky to have gotten a seat at "the winners table"

Someone towing a large trailer had a blowout. I was cruising next to an 18 wheeler which started throwing up the chunks of rubber. Most of us in the caravan got hit, but I took it square in the grill.
no way! everyone? i hate to hear this kinda crap.
I think I was the only one with damage. The silver lining is that I've really been meaning to get my de-chromed ring painted, and now I have an excuse to get it done.

I'm trying to decipher the calendar on their website, but it looks like there's an event that day, and just about every other Saturday/Sunday through the summer. Even if there is open racing on those days it will probably be packed. I'll check with Greg Angeli at SVTOA to see which days we could set something up.
