are not fast. i made a trip to gander mountain in st. charles to pick up some 762x39 ammo for my sks today and while there i thought i would make a couple runs at the drag-strip there.

well the first run i was matched up against a black grand am gt that looked just like kim's. the kid pulled up next to me and lurched his car forward a couple of times, so when the lights dropped so did his jaw when all he could see was my rear license plate. no contest. i actually was laughing when he caught up to me while waiting for the next light.

the next run was made with a blue grand am gt. same thing happened. they pulled up. then they were gone.

so kids the moral of the story is, grand am gts are not fast and a loud exhaust doesnt help them any. plus they are ugly as hell.

yeah sorry about the comment on the looks. that is just my opinion. i am sure kims is fast but get it to a track or something damn!

well i know i can get it cheaper but the 762x39 was 14 bucks a box (20 shells). i am in a pinch for time so i had to bite the bullet. it is for my scoped up and bipoded SKS. i know it isnt the ideal rifle, it is more of an assult rifle. i like the soviet sniper rifles a lot i just need to wait a couple weeks to order the dragunov.

Thats cool, I have an SKS Paratrouper version. Its fun to shoot and it accepts AK Magazines. I used to have a russian long barrel SKS that you had to use stripper clips with, that gun was a lot more accurate than the paratrooper version but the AK mag is awesome. Is ammo really that expensive now? Last time I bought was years ago, I got 600 rounds for $60. I still have all 600, I need to go burn some off but I don't know of anywhere local were I can fire a high power rifle.

ammo is expensive when you go to a sporting goods store and get it. i needed it soon so i couldnt wait for it to be delivered. SKS paratrooper is shorter than mine is. the dragunov is the longest of the AK type.

All I got to say is good luck. Just put your money where your mouth is when we go to the track. Don't get mad Kev.....your car is still bada$$! You win...I will buy you lunch. GLD opens on April 2nd or something like that. Just remember I will have the water injection/ 65mm TB/ 2.3 pulley on by then. Just remember what 4 more psi did to my car.....add 3-4 more.
