Before you buy your stereo online, you might want to hear my story. I was recently in the market for an in-dash CD player for my '95 Contour, so I checked out SBH Enterprises to see how there prices compared to Crutchfield, and they were (as stated by another member) suprisingly less expensive. So I printed out a few pages of the decks I had interest in to take into my local Sears to compare prices. After a lengthy discussion with the young man that worked there, I found out that Sears will match web page prices(which also shocked me because with s&h, getting it from the webpage would only be a little cheaper). So then I proceeded to take my little adventure into the walls of Circuit City because they had the same deck and were offering a free speaker deal. I asked the clerk if they would do the same and at first he said no, but after I mentioned Sears would do it, the answer was yes.

So, I ended up getting a JVC KD-SX750 for $159(plus tax), that's even $30 less than what Crutchfield has it listed as. I paid no shipping and could actually view and "play with" the deck before I bought it.

So anyone who is looking to get a good deal on a deck, I recommend this approach. You get the lower price and get to screw over Circuit City a little!

it is fun to screw with Circuit City. i saw an add a couple years back "buy one sub, get the other free" not a bad deal. but in the same flyer they also had the add "50% off all subwoofers". the disclaimers didn't say anything about combining sales. i tried it out on the clerk and i got 2 MTX 8" subs for $50. that's a $150 savings!

after almost 4 years, these subs still kick pretty hard.

Nice job on getting a good price for what you wanted! It's always fun to shop around and get a low price, while at the same time screw over the store you are buying it from. Keep the ideas coming!
