if i'm looking for an 8" midbass, should i stick to the ones that have a frequency range that r low like 50-500 (just made up numbers) or will an 8" that plays up into the thousands (more of a midrange) do just as well? any other specs to look for for a midbass speaker? i think qts should be high, correct?to work in the doors. or should it be low like for small sealed boxes?assuming the door is completely sealed for the low qts.
Are you doing a two or three way system in the front?
sorry, thinking about a 3 way front with sub in rear.
In the door I dont think it can be 100% sealed unless you are making a new door panel. It will be more like a IB setup unless your really getting into it.
Best is to audition each, but thats not always practicle. As for response, just make sure the driver can play above its crossover range so that you can have some overlap if you need to tweak things.
I'd say from 60-250 or 300. You could go higher, but I wouldn't.....
I'd recommend using a Peerless 850519.
