Getting ready to install my stuff in the SVT, but I didn't get my Orion XTR comps. out of the old SE. I bought a pair of 5X7 Pioneers today, but am having second thoughts. I would prefer to amp the speakers, since I have an extra amp (JBL 80.4), but the Pioneers are 35w rms. I am thinking that's too little power. After perusing BB and CC (I know they kinda suck, but that's what I'm stuck with!), I found the following...
Anybody have opinions/reviews of:

Infinity Reference 6.5"

Polk db6500

Kicker KS6.2

MTX 6001

All are priced at $199.
Or should I stay with the Pioneers off either the H.U. or the 80.4?

When done, the system will consist of:
JVC EXAD KD-LHX 500
*pending front stage speakers*
No rear speakers
JBL 180.2 (bridged) for the subs
JBL 80.4 for the front stage (Should I bridge and risk the signal degredation?)
(2) Alpine Type S 12" subs

Thanks for answering any/all questions!

I have 2 DVC subs bridged on the 180.2, and I just ran the components single channel on the 80.4

I'd say get a pair of the SSX Crystal's from Infinite Car Audio online. Authorized dealer, and the 5x7 components are 125 a pair. Great deal, no need for drilling (has a bridge mount) and the regular mounts for seperate installation.
