In an effort to clean up this mess we call the audio forum, let's post our photos of intallations here, it is a sticky and if anyone would like to see other's installs they can always come here to take a look. Saves you the hassle of searching, and saves everyone else the hassle of searching through "show me your systems!" posts while looking for a relevant post.

Links to you car domain sites and other links, as long as they lead to your install pictures are welcome too.

I'll remove any post whoring in this topic, and any questions about installs can be PMed, or taken care of in thier own topic. This is for picture whoring only.

If your images turn into a red X for a period of time, I will remove that post to keep the post clean and easy to look over.

Finally, although I don't care about the image size, some people get annoyed looking at a 1600x1200 image of your HU. Keep the size to 800x600 to keep things streamlined.

Have at it!

Here is my simple setup. I want to make a custom box, but I dont have the wood working tools There is still some finishing things I need to do still. Mainly trim the studs for the batt hold down. I want to build a amp wall on the side so I dont have it bolted to the floor like that but for now it works. Again I lack wood working tools therefor this is what I could do Hope you like it.

Dont mind my n00b carpeting skills, I had never done that before. Carpet glue is messy shizz! Anyway, the wires have been cleaned up.

Nothing amazing yet. Just have a JVC KD-SC500 HU,which any day now is being replaced with a brand new Sony CDXF5770 deck. I am running a pair of Pioneer TS-A6870R 220w 3-way 6x8s up front, with a 222w Sony Xplod amp on them. I have a pair of Kenwood KFC6959ie 200w 2-way 6x9s in the rear, just running from the deck, but the rear is only fill sound,so it's no big deal. All the fun is in the trunk, with a 15" Kicker Impulse 8ohm subwoofer in a sealed Bassworx box,and a 1200w Power Acoustik Fire & Ice amp. The bass from this set up is absolutely incredible. If it gets any louder,it will make my ears bleed. It wants to blow my windows out and send my trunk lid flying. The spare tire has been removed, but the jack and everything else remains. The cheapo piece of wood that used to just sit there and cover the spare tire has now been screwed down to the floor, and a 1/2" thick piece of plywood wider than the spare wheel well is set over top of ot,with the amp screwed to it. The carpet is cut out to allow the amp to be screwed down, without seeint it mounted, and basically looks like the amp is popping out of the carpet. The Xplod amp is mounted on the left hand side of the trunk, just screwed imto the side carpet, and I haven't had any problems yet to date with it falling off or anything. All the wiring is run under the carpeting as well, for a sleek, clean look.

Sorry the pics are small and suck.

Whats with the false floor? I see its raised with a mirror, but whats underneith?? And why the neon in the untinted back window?
Posted By: getsum111 Re: Audio Setup Pictures - 12/22/05 11:55 AM
Started out w/ different design when I had a POS Sony amp. The old amp flush mounted, but the Orion didn't fit. It wasn't the same size as the online specs said. Oh well, It looks better in person. And I should be getting the back window tinted in spring once it's warmer. (The neon was a gift from my wife. I Don't mess w/ a good thing )
