4x16" SVT E1 Rims with 215/50 BFG KDW's mounted. Rims are in excellent condition, tires have approximately 40 - 50% tread left. I just took the wheels off so I haven't had a chance to clean them up or take pictures yet. If you PM me, I get you pics ASAP.

I had to have the exhaust modified to fit my Roush rear bumper on my Cougar, but, with a little modification i'm sure JPG could make it fit.

Well I'm interested in some performance parts (TB/UIM)

Well, here are the things that are left that will work with Contours:

- KKM Tru-Rev Intake w/ CTA Motorsports Intake Pipe - $125
- CTA Motorsports Dual Stainless Steel Exhaust w/ Magnaflow Muffler & Ractive Tips - $500
- SuperChip GGR3 - $225
- OMP Front Strut Tower Bar - $75
- IVM Carbon Fibre IMRC Cover - $150
- 17" Gunmetal Velox VX-8s w/ Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s - $1000

The intake is in excellent shape and well taken care of. I'll even include a K&N Filter Charger Kit.

The CTA exhaust is great. It has some surface rust on it, but thats normal with stainless steel.

The SuperChip is programmed with code GGR3 but can be re-flashed with a new code failry easily and relatively cheap. This chip gained me 0.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile! Thats right, 0.7 seconds! Thats HUGE!

OMP FSTB is in excellent shape. Its painted black and is in great condition overall.

The CF IMRC cover is awesome! The weave is flawless and looks great!

The wheels, well, what can I say? They're in awesome shape. I've babied them since they were new. There are a few small surface scratches on the polished lip, but you can't even notice unless you look really close. The tires have PLENTY of tread left. I've used them 2 summers and put on a total of about 15,000KM.

Looking for some cheap, used, decent sounding audio equipment for my tour. My stock premium sound is starting to make some weird crackling noises, especially when cold. Oh, and the cd player doesn't always want to play. Other than that, it is fine!

I am not looking for a high end system. Just some decent speakers, a small amp to drive them, and a cd head unit with a removable face.

I just wanted to give some advance notice on my rims and tires I will be putting up for sale shortly.
They are 16" E0 rims with goodyear eagle gt tires on them (75% tread left). The rims are pretty much like new, stored every winter. No major skuffs, balanced. I'll be adding pics in the spring (they are presently in the shed which is covered in snow

when I post them in the classifieds. If anyone might be interested, let me know. I am looking for around $350 Cdn for all 4 tires and rims. The tires alone are $300+ canadian for 2, new.

My car ('99 Contour V6) has got an automagic in it, and I'd like to switch that baby out for a 5-speed. I'm looking for all the stuff necessary to do that swap. I'm in Mississauga, Ontario... so pick-up would be preferred.

You would really be better off trading the car in on a MTX. You may be able to find a dealer sitting on a 5 speed and willing to trade pretty near outright because it is harder to sell a MTX then an ATX.

I've got a KM/H speedo from a E0 SVT for sale. I bought it to try and put it in the Mystique, but it didn't work and blew out 2 tracks on the circuit board. I repaired the Tracks so hopefully this will work in a '98 car. (not 98.5 or later) If it doesn't you could always try using the faces from it. (Would have to calibrate all your needles then). PM me if interested.

I've got a KM/H speedo from a E0 SVT for sale. I bought it to try and put it in the Mystique, but it didn't work and blew out 2 tracks on the circuit board. I repaired the Tracks so hopefully this will work in a '98 car. (not 98.5 or later) If it doesn't you could always try using the faces from it. (Would have to calibrate all your needles then). PM me if interested.

It may be still possible for you to get SVT gauges without too much effort. I'd have to see a pic of the back of your cluster to determine though. I put together a little page on my experience here. Since your car is a '97 you may be able to swap in the E0 cluster with no problems, again I'd have to see your cluster to be able to tell.

Hi all,

The nature of my job has changed so the nature of my transportation requirements will be changing as well. In light of that, I unfortunately may decide to sell my CSVT by the end of summer. I wanted to give you guys some advanced notice as I would rather sell it to a CSVT fan than advertising it randomly on the Auto Trader.

Some details:

98, black, extremely clean and excellent maintenance, syn mobil 1 since day one, pretty much babied for the most part(Iâ�?��?�ve had it to the floor a few times but rarely redlined it ) never raced or tracked (I have a summer car for that), no tranny issues (was going to do the synthetic change this fall), no perf mods besides removed resonator which can be reversed, slight esthetic mods (blacked tail with removable vinyl), brand new ST200s with brand new Fuzion Zris. Also comes with 4 blizzaks on steels which will be good for another winter. 2 may need to be replaced next winter depending on how new you like your tires.
My original intent was to keep the car for at least 3 years, hence the new summer wheels and rubber, car has only 95,xxxkm on it. I had ford replace the water pump in the spring as a preventative maintenance, garaged both at home and work, previous owner was a 45+ year old family man who also owned an acura SUV (which got most of the use apparently), and who had the means and the sense to properly keep up with the maintenance of the car.
Recent repairs/maintenance includes: new front stab links left and right, front brakes, o2 sensor, power steering flush, coolant flush. Only thing I know of that does not work is the trunk release. I took the release apart and it turns out the gears were stripped. Havenâ�?��?�t gotten around to replacing it.

As I said, I know I would miss it if I were to sell it. I looked around for a couple of years for one before I decided on this one, so I haven't yet decided whether I will keep it or not.I will keep you posted when and if the official for sale posting goes up in the classifieds. If you are looking for a clean, well maintained, low miles SVT contour, this could be the one for you.

I am asking $11,800 for the car. Serious inquiries only. I would need to sell it by the end of summer.

I also need a 98+ passenger side headlight, as well as the headlight support panel that runs in behind the grille and lights. Pick up in the GTA is preferable.

I'm selling my car. 1998 Contour V6 2.5L, automatic, silver in colour, has 176,000km on it. Should need nothing to pass E-test or certification. Has power everything. Everything in the car works. Previous owner must of hit a column in a parking garage or something because there is a large scuff on the passenger side of the front bumper, and the corner of the headlight is cracked. Light still works well. Car is in great mechanical shape. The only problem is a noisey lifter on the rear cylinder bank. This is the car that needs the parts in the above WTB posts, so if you want it to be perfect, you'll need those parts.

Looking to get $2500 obo. Theres a car that I want to buy right away, so I need money ASAP. I would drive this thing to London and back every weekend during the winter and it never caused me any trouble and returned good gas milage.

I wanted to let you know that I am selling my tour. I hate to sell it, but I need something that is more convenient for my new position at work (lots of travel around the ottawa area) and the fact that we have two large dogs, and are looking into a wagon or 5 door type car which is better for hauling dogs.

No tranny issues. Car was never raced or tracked and I wasn't one to speed shift or drop the clutch. I was planning a synthetic tranny change before winter, the only reason being is it helps with cold weather shifting.

Known issues:
The remote trunk opener is not installed. I took it out when it stopped working, took it apart and noticed that the gears were stripped and never got around to installing a new one.

I also have a brand new BAT MAF adaptor and brand new S&B Powerstack filter that I'll let go for $50 CDN. The BAT MAF adapter alone sells for $55 at CTA Motorsports, and a similar setup with filter is over $100. If you have a non-SVT contour you will need an IAT relocation kit, which is less than 4 bucks from CTA.

Not sure. Friend of mine(Mike) works at Grand Touring Cars(BMW) and it was there just before he got there. Its a beautiful car. Its in the showroom and you'd think it was brand new. The 19s look killer on it !

Lou, it's SMG....It's was actually proven to be faster on the track than a 6sp M3. I'd say do it and then let me drive (I'd trade drives with my car easily

)

The SMG would still be a lot of fun. Almost instant shifts, easy of an auto while in traffic, and more people(like your other half) can drive it IF she/he doesn't drive a stick.

That's great!!

The SMG's are awesome just make sure you have the updated relay for it otherwise you will come out to find your car stuck and it wont start.

As for driving, I had much more fun driving the SMG then the manual version and it's even more fun when you put it in sport mode

I happen to have an SVT Contour throttle body gasket. I was cleaning out my drawer and came across it. Package never opened. I know they are not expensive but I will sell it to who ever may want it for what the cost is.

Still parting out a 95 Mystique 5-speed, the interrior and engine wiring harness is sold but everything else is for sale. I want to finish parting it out before the winter.

The car was in a light roll over last February. The damage was only cosmetic. I drove the car home after the flip (30km) and everything felt fine.

Anyone have any decent used winter rubber they want to get rid of cheap? Prefer in the Toronto area, but will travel. Either 14 or 15" is fine.

I have a set of 15 inch alloy's off a 96' mystique for sale -- there is still ruber on them however there's not much left on them. they've been in my garage for over a year they'd make for great rims for winter tires.

Beautifull car but the asking price is out to lunch. An actual SVT with simlar KM would sell for that price.

I have a complete 1995 Contour GL V6 that I'm going to be sending to the wreckers soon. Before I do, I want to try and part it out. Does anyone need any parts off it? It's got an automatic transmission which shifted fine while the car was running. The engine still works perfectly and pulls very strong, the starter/ring gear just stripped out so I decided that it wasn't worth it to fix the car, especially since we had another car sitting on the driveway waiting to be driven.

Anyone need anything? The car is in Etobicoke at the shop, which is located in the 427 and QEW area.

car runs, idles, drives i bought it and the guy said there was problems with 2nd gear, all i wanted off it was the tires but i think its still a driveable car, needs a battery for sure
(i spent an hour driving it in the parking lot here and didnt have a problem driving it forward and reverse, didnt make any odd noises)

trany fluid is still bright pink, jvc cd player everything else seems to work just fine, 2 tires on the front have decent tread, rear 2 need replacing... brakes dont look too bad, needs a coolant flush and oil change.

a few people told me the transmission could either be on its way if 2nd slips, or its just a stuck valve or bad sensor, im not putting any money into this car i already have 2

Since I am buying an MTX 75 that is already built I need to sell the parts I bought to build up my SVT Tranny. I'm selling all new internals still in the boxes, they are all new shift forks synchros and bearings (basically all the internals). New cv shafts,water pump,Ford Racing wires,Vibrant cone filter,SVT style 2.5" dual exhaust with no mufflers,molded trunk lid,new wheel bearings,new struts and some other stuff. Car is going to the wreckers soon,unless someone wants it for parts. Car is unplated and uninsured since March 9th. Will take $250 for entire car. The car is pretty trashed. me and my buddy tore it apart on Saturday,not really caring what got broken in the process,and trashed the car. It has a really sweet SVT-style 2.5" quasi dual exhaust with no mufflers,that attached behind the stock resonator,still on the car. The hood is wrecked,both front fenders are badly damaged,all the doors are dented,front and rear windshields are smashed,door windows are still intact,valuable pre98 console was broken by my buddy and I was like "nooooooo!!!!! That's a pre98 console that's like a million dollars!!!!" The front and rear bumpers are good and usable,trunk lid is trashed,the tail lights are intact,headlights and front signals are broken,entire engine is intact and has some pretty blue Ford Racing plug wires. Noting useful from the interior unless you want umm...a steering wheel. Really good parts you might from the car are:
-new CV shafts with less than 25k on them
-new water pump with less than 25k (metal impeller)
-new starter motor (like 3 months old)
-rear struts and springs with 40k on them
-new front wheel bearings. about 30k on them
- I have my booklet with all repair receipts to prove.

Bodywise,it's trashed,engine itself is tired,car won't start for some reason since we trashed it. The alarm might have disabled it and I can't find the remote to disarm it. There's a few decent parts to pick from it. There are also two other 1995 Contours in the yard as well. One is beige LX ATX V6 in decent shape,lots of good stuff on it,and a white '95 that showed up 2 weeks ago.

i am in need of the glove box, more importantly the glove box closing mechanisim. (black piece on back assembley)

If you really want to sell your ride then you best be realistic about the price.

Mods into a car like the ones you have are not going to get you the money you want out of it. Further to that it is a 4cyl ATX. You might want to look at book value and go slightly above. Just my 2 cents.

The car is pretty trashed. me and my buddy tore it apart on Saturday,not really caring what got broken in the process,and trashed the car. It has a really sweet SVT-style 2.5" quasi dual exhaust with no mufflers,that attached behind the stock resonator,still on the car. The hood is wrecked,both front fenders are badly damaged,all the doors are dented,front and rear windshields are smashed,door windows are still intact,valuable pre98 console was broken by my buddy and I was like "nooooooo!!!!! That's a pre98 console that's like a million dollars!!!!" The front and rear bumpers are good and usable,trunk lid is trashed,the tail lights are intact,headlights and front signals are broken,entire engine is intact and has some pretty blue Ford Racing plug wires. Noting useful from the interior unless you want umm...a steering wheel. Really good parts you might from the car are:
-new CV shafts with less than 25k on them
-new water pump with less than 25k (metal impeller)
-new starter motor (like 3 months old)
-rear struts and springs with 40k on them
-new front wheel bearings. about 30k on them
- I have my booklet with all repair receipts to prove.

Bodywise,it's trashed,engine itself is tired,car won't start for some reason since we trashed it. The alarm might have disabled it and I can't find the remote to disarm it. There's a few decent parts to pick from it. There are also two other 1995 Contours in the yard as well. One is beige LX ATX V6 in decent shape,lots of good stuff on it,and a white '95 that showed up 2 weeks ago.

I could have used the jack from it but I have a feeling that the wreckers will charge more for it than it's worth. What condtion was it in anyways?

Not everyone who is a Contour Buff will be looking at this car if he advertises. Given the fact that it is so clean and has tasteful cosmetic mods, he likely will get at least close to what he is asking. Being that its ATX, more ppl will want it, mainly women and others who dont drive MTX. I agree the 6cyl would net more bucks but let him worry about selling it, and not you talking it down. Especially if your comments affect his possible sale to a Contour.org member.

My opinion is this..And its quite clear...

No, those are fine. They appear to be a better quality than my stock ones. It's the rears that are gone now.

Could be because my car is an early 99 built in September of 98.

I still have my parts car, decided to keep it and wait till spring to sell the rest of the parts. It's a '95 2.5L 5-speed Mystique. The seats and door panels, the engine wiring harness (just the wiring and not the engine), water pump, singal switch, front rotors and pads are sold. The car was in a light roll over and the damage was only cosmetic. Drove the car home after the wreck (30km) and everything worked fine. Want to finish parting the car out fast.

Live in Cambridge, Ontario and work in Brampton. The car is also in Cambridge.

1 set of Mystique 15" allow wheels (same as shown in photo below). They currently are mounted with Kumho snow tires - these should be good for 1 more winter. $100 or make offer

I have for sale a set of 225/50/ZR16 Eagle F1 GSD3's. These tires have been used for 2 summers and have at least one summer left in them. I will take pictures and tread depth measurements later today. These tires have phenomenal grip and steering response which makes for exhilarating everyday driving, they would also make a great set of track tires. You can read about them HERE. They rank as #2 in the Max Performance Summer Tire category, only beat out by a new Dunlop tire with very few reviews. The reason I am selling these tires is for comfort reasons, with twins on the way I wanted a softer riding tire. Tires were about $1000 new; $250 obo takes the set.

Since I can no longer edit my post I have made this new one. The tread depth of the tires is between 5.5/32 and 5.6/32. New was 11/32.

If any Canadians were looking into any forced induction upgrades you might be interested because it cost a LOT in taxes and duty to get the kit imported into Canada ($400 USD) from the US so you'd save a sizeable chunk of money and i would rather pass the savings on to someone in Canada rather then ship it back to the US.

It is a second generation spline drive unit but i looked into having it upgraded by KnuKonceptz and it was going to be $275 with return shipping.

This is perhaps one of the highest HP NA SVT's around and is very well sorted out so you'll have nothing to worry about if you want to run some laps at the local road course.

Hi Everyone.
Can't believe I am doing this, but I am looking at maybe letting my baby go. Thought I would offer her here first.
She is an overall nice shape 95 V6 5spd LX, fully loaded, 162k fully modded up to SE spec and then some. She is not perfect, but still takes me to work and back every day and pulls really hard. With the Nun-1 computer and the mods, I would happily put her against a stock SVT.

Whats not right? AC does not work and the fan switch just died. Some rust spots on the drivers side rear wheel lip. Rubber ok, but getting low.

Dropping the price to $270. They are really nice aggressive winter tire, they worked very well on my V6 5-spd.

Time to sell the original set of E1s that came with the car. They were used for about 3 yrs and only saw one winter. Since then have been used as winter storage wheels. Now with the monster Wilwoods on the car i have no use for these wheels as they no longer fit.

Asking $400 for the set. The tires are nearly bald. they must be replaced (unless you use them as i did for winter storage only)

1995 Contour GL Zetec MTX. Currently has 274k KM and running great. I had new brakes all around and a front wheel bearing installed to pass safety in June. I have only put 10 000km on the car since I have owned it. I have 2 sets of rims and tires for it (both of which are for sale in the Wheels/Tires section),a set of SE's (pictured) with snow tires,and the stock steelies with crappy tires. This car is Medium Willow green metallic on grey cloth. It has winding windows,power mirrors,AC,manual locks,upgraded cupholder and non folding rear seat. Also does not have ABS. It's a very early production '95 (September 1994),even has the Silvertop Zetec and the yellow tenth of a KM number on the trip meter. I've got just a couple mods done to it,which are:

-Ractive performance muffler,and removed resonator
-Sylvania Cool Blue "highs in the lows"
-MSD ignition coil
-KEM 8mm plug wires (were on the car when I bought it last year)
-KVR carbon fibre brake pads

Otherwise,the car is stock. No stickers,no painted stuff,no neon lights,it's just like grandma's Contour,but with a loud muffler,lol.

However,the car does have a few little problems with it:

-The car is a write off rebuild. It was written off in 1997 and rebuilt,so the ownership shows it as "BRANDED-REBUILT" As far as I can tell,the car is straight.
-Passenger side front door only locks and opens from the outside because the cable for the latch inside is broken at the latch.
-The driver's side window crank just broke off the other day and I can't roll the window down. (Window is closed)
- Both back door window cranks are cracked,and 1 clip is missing,so they both fall off,but the windows still roll up and down.
-Rear view mirror got hot one day and fell off the windshield,so I've just zip tied it to both the sun visors.
-The blower motor only works on high speed
-Air only blows out the windshield and mirror sail panel vents no matter which setting it's put on.
-Reverse lights aren't working,and I haven't bothered to look into it. Apparently it's the reverse switch on the tranny.
-E-brake cable is broken and haven't bothered to fix it.

This car is great on gas,cheap to insure,the body is in decent shape. It has been repainted due to being written off 9 years ago. Little bit of rust on the rear quarter panel on the lip of the fender and on the bottom of the rocker panel. Otherwise,it's still a decent looking car. All this car needs to pass safety is a new e-brake cable and to fix the reverse lights. The car is sold AS IS but is sold E-TESTED.

$500 takes this car away. I paid $650 for it in November '05,and spent $400 to certify it,so I've got $1000 into this car. First $500 takes it away.

I'd like to put my 1998 Ford Contour LX up for sale. It's a very reliable car, and will be for a long while yet.

Some Specs,

-Zetec DOHC 2.0L engine.
-5-speed manual.
-Black exterior.
-Tan interour.
-No A/c from factory.
-Recent front brakes.
-Complete tune up done in summer.
-4 four season tyres on steel rims.

The car has about 207,000 Kms mostly highway, and is still surprisingly peppy. The also car handles extremely well (One of the main reasons I bought a Contour). The engine burns absolutley no oil.

The only thing that would need changing in the future is the front driver's wheel bearing, but doesn't need it right away. There is a straight pipe installed in place of the muffler, that gives it a nice sound that isn't loud or annoying.

My asking price is 2300$ negociable without the svt mags, but with the 4 season tyres & steel rims.
