The Classes are one for each of the SVT products plus Non SVT Car and Non SVT Truck Class. There will be a first and second for each one and also a Best in Show. There will also be the classic cars there as well and they will have their own classes.

Yes Mike you will be up against any other car that is not an SVT.

I almost feel like running a CEG pool now...

Coming from west of Toronto:
- take the 401 East
- take the Dixie Rd turnoff (just follow the signs...you'll pass the Hurontario cutoff, then the 410...next exit is Dixie...and stay right)
- turn right at the lights (this is Dixie) to go Southbound
- get in the left lane ASAP and make a left turn at Dixie Ford (you'll see it on your left)
(If you miss the Dixie Rd cutoff, the next exit you must take is Renforth. Go back over the 401 and get back on going westbound, and follow the instructions below.)

Coming from East of Toronto:
- take 401 Westbound, exit at Dixie Rd
- turn left to go Southbound
- stay in the left lane, go over the bridge
- make a left turn at Dixie Ford

Coming from the 407 (either way)
- get off at the Dixie Rd. cutoff
- head straight down until you go over the 401, get in the left lane, and turn left at the entrance

Some people like me are lazy and don't want to write it down. Plus map quest gives you distances which are quite accurate. Make a turn reset the trip meter. Drive the right number of clicks and start looking for the next turn. Worked really well for me last weekend with my camping till I found out the campground used a PO box in town some 5 kilometers away from where I needed to be.

I'll be in the neighbourhood (sort of) but can't make it. I going with the BMW club to take on Mosport. My first time there am I am looking forward to it! I too hope for good weather...for very different reasons. Sorry to have missed this event...

I was keeping a low profile until I got to the point where after balancing the wheels 2 additional times still has not resolved wheel shake at various highway speeds.

Well, with whatever the result, I am going to take the Centerline wheels off the SVT. I hope to have a new set of wheels by the end of the week (cross my fingers) so that I can still make it to the Show and Shine this coming weekend.

Looks like I may be able to make it after all. My new REV Model 10 wheels are at UPS. I am going to try one on the front first to ensure that the wheel clears the Wilwood brake calipers. Once I have determined clearance, and hopefully the wheels clear the calipers, then I can say for sure if I can make it on Sunday.

No go tonight. The wheels were shipped 2 @ 2 wheels, and one pair was separated and misdirected to the wrong location. Needless to say, I have to wait until tomorrow to pick up all of the wheels, as UPS was not able to locate the first pair in the warehouse. They are in there somewhere.

I still have till Saturday to get the wheels on the car.

UPDATE: My wheels are here and are going to be installed tomorrow morning.

I haven't received my hub rings yet, but that's a minor inconvenience. I'll put them on once I get them.

So you'll be there Sunday then right? Gee could be some really good competition then. Too bad my car is a write off.

Laura is too busy cleaning her car. For those who went to the SVTOA-Toronto meeting, she is probably on Volume 3, Chapter 6, paragraph 18(1)(a) in Car Care 101.

is there anyway PLEASE I can get a CEL reading? While driving home tonight the damn thing lit up. I'm in the process of resetting the computer. But if it lights up again I might need a reading.???

Depeninding on the mileage, it could be the dreaded O2 sensors.

On another note, my new wheels are installed. Pics over here.

had 2 o2sensors replaced mid summer last year

Keith, after I had mine done this year I got 2 more CELs and they were both for a vacuum leak. For some reason it kept coming off. Fixed now though. Check that out. If you took it to a dealer to have them fix it and it wasnt that long ago that you did, and this new CEL is related to that they may not charge you for anything, including the checking to see what the CEL is. BUT if it is not related then you would have to pay.

BTW, Richard, I did all my steps last weekend and just touched up this morning. The car is now safely in the garage where it will stay until tomorrow.

I took my car to my local mechanic here in London.

for now its gone away. But I do have a long drive up to Dixie tomorrow, so we'll see what happens between now and then.

why now damnit. I'm not working and back in school. haha, I swear if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Welcome to my little area on the planet called hell!

I have to work the night shift all weekend til 3am
so don't know if I will be a ble to make it. I will try.

So I've spent the better part of the day working on my car and for a show that is supposed to be fun. Funny thing is I feel worse now because of how crappy of condition my car is in. Even for it being relatively clean. Oh well. I don't have time to really do any engine detailing either. It'll be fun to have the worst looking car though I guess.

What time is everyone going to meet there? I am assuming there is an area for the Contours?

I was going to show at about 8:30.

Yes there is an SVT Contour Class and a Non SVT Car class.

The show starts a 9:00.

Just browsing the posts, thinking this event was yesterday (Saturday), and just realized it's happening later this am. Since I have to visit Bramptom/Miss today I'll try to make time to drop by and say hello.

Car is in no-shine/no-show condition after 4 months of summer job commuting by my kids. So I'll probably hide it somewhere and walk in so I don't embarrass myself and other Contique owners.

Mark, the SVT felt a little slow today with the hotter weather (as to be expected). You should have seen how it was yesterday morning, when it was 10 degrees C outside. After the new wheels were installed, on the way home, I was saying Oh shhhh............t when I punched it a few times on the way back.

sorry i didnt make it. i know i said i would come. I was picking up my RC car to bring buy cuz of my contour shell. it wasent ready on time so was unable to make it there before 3 pm. i will be there for next sundays meet at boston pizza with my nitro rc

Sorry folks. It was my mom's 61st bday. I couldn't really justify to my parents in hanging out at Dixie for 6 hrs and then go to Unionville.
