I have been looking around the Bay Area for a place to dyno tune my car with the SCT Xcal 2. Apexmotorsports does not have their tuner there anymore so I am looking for another place.

I talked to two places today.

DreamSpeed Motorsports: They sounded very nice and I am just hesitent because they havent done a contour before. Wanted to charge me $700

Jeff S. Tuning: Wanted to charge me around $700-900.

Any ideas?

if it means anything, jerry, the creator of the SCT software charged me $500 for the initial dyno tune.

if dreamspeed is a guy who does stuff with Stratu's. Id skip it, it didnt seem like he knew too much when I had my strat

head to 'Zona and have it done by the pros. From San Diego its not a bad drive and they will be done within a day.

Johnny got his done there as well as Dion. PM those guys for answers to specific questions.

Ya from SD to ADC is not that bad. I looked into it. 6hrs there then I would need to spend the night there. 6hrs back. Thats at least two tanks of gas. $80 there and the hotel for a night $60. I will call tomorrow and see what I will be running for the price. It would be nice but I doubt I will have the time with school and all.

sh!t, Keith is one of the best guys to work with at ADC, he was able to help me out big time with all of my cars woe's. If you can schedule a time with him on the weekends you would be set. I was charged $1,035.00 and that was for the chip/tune and to fix the cams that weren't put in correctly

i took my car to Keith at ADC. left early in the morning and made it home the same night. and that's with him tuning my car and my buddy's car AND my buddy's car blowing his motor on the dyno! (dont ask!). only took Keith a little over an hour to do my car, although i just had a chip burned.

i take my cobra to RET in Downey, where just about every cobra in the LA area goes to. he does SCT tuning and just Fords. he hasnt done any contours, that i know of, but he is an awesome tuner none-the-less and has great customer service. everybody loves him which is why he's become so popular. a lot of SD guys come out just for his dyno days! hit him up and see what he has to say. his name is Greg.

and i only recommend RET if you dont want to make the drive to ADC. RET is awesome but ADC is THE contour tuning shop.
