Hey everyone just introducing myself. I live in San Diego, in the Navy stationed at Point Loma. I just bought a 98' CSVT #1578 and wanted to talk with other people that know alot about these cars because as extremely fun as it is stock I really wanna squeeze more out of her all around and make her that much more fun. I had a 96 GL Sport I think it was back in 97 but shes long gone and loved these cars - the SVT in particular since I saw it on the lot when I bought my Sport. Couldnt really justify getting one until now and Im sorry I waited so long. I love this car! I'm going to drive it until it or me dies. Anyways, This is a really cool forum and you should be seeing me around alot.

Welcome!

There are a few ex-military guys locally and a few of us civilians. If are willing, we have occasional get togethers that you would be more than welcome to attend. In fact, I think it is about time our area had a big meet for all of the newer SD guys to meet the rest of us and get to know each other. Feel free to PM me or give me a call sometime if you'd like to chat.

Welcome to the boards, i'm one of the ex-navy peeps. I used to be stationed in Pt. Loma also. I was on subase from 93-97. My roommate is still stationed there. He's on the USS Jefferson City. Where in Pt.Loma are you? Stay up on the board, i dont respond much, unless there is a meet scheduled. Again, Welcome........

glad im not the only one that would pick the marines last.
spending all of my teens and early 20's in north county(blocks aways from the largest marine base on the west coast if not the country) ive met a few, and not one of them had all there marbles, But most of the navy(had a roomate that was in the navy for 4 years) airforce, coastguard, even in the army they all seemed just a little brighter than all the marines ive met. Thats not to say they werent nice guys, just a little "off". Of course were all a little "OFF" in our own little ways

Lol, just talked to him. Funny, you guys are on the same boat. Cherry is my roommate. One of these days we'll have another San Diego CEG meet but who knows when that'll be. And then we can all hangout.
