So does anyone think it's cold enough outside yet?
You just have to love this cold weather.
How is everyones Contour's holding up? Mine is great now that she is fixed, with a big tune up and new intake gaskets.
Keep Warm. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Mine protested for a couple of seconds upon cranking this morning at -6 degrees. Still, it started and ran OK.

-11 by my thermometer this morning. She still started right away, but that first kick was a hard one though. Amazing stuff with the 4 year old stock battery that's been relocated to the trunk!!!

Alittle slow start this morning in the garage. But after that ran like a champ. My Contour is a freeze baby anyways.

Typical VW crap battery!

VW factory battery is usually good for about 2 years. Here I am on year 4. Plus the fact that it was cracked and leaking acid didn't help either (which I didn't find out until the service guys lifted it up. We shall see how the new Interstate 700CCA battery I got holds up.

dave, the tranny god sez to let ur clutch out with the car out of gear and give a few revs before goin anywhere to slosh some fluids around... might help the stickyness

-9 is nothin'! The low temps overnight here in the great north of Minot have been -20 to -30. That's temps!! Without a garage...it's been tough starting some mornings. I did get a block heater finally and that's been a life saver!!

-16 in Blaine this morning! Ross complained a little, like a "Do I have to?", but he started up quick and ran without a hitch. Can't complain with no block heater and a shade under 145,000 miles!

So does anyone think it's going to get any colder this winter? When are we going to see warmer weather?

Today I was happy to see the temperature above 0 degrees.
