I'd probably be down as long as it's not in TX. That's too far to drive.

that would be awesome to have a meet with all the south central guys. The meet should be somewhere in the middle of the south central such as Oklahoma City or Dallas.

Of course I'd be game for Dallas again...short drive. I'm always game for a meet, especially large scale. We'd have to get a SC shirt, maybe we can use that guy from the AssClown award, he R3PR3S3NTS!!

I live for road trips! I can drive up to 7 hours, 10 if I can get off early from work and get some

I would love to attend also, but I vote not Dallas, nothing at all against Dallas, we were just there for the Nationals. It was fun, but I would like a somewhere new.

I still say have the meet here in OKC as there are quite a few things to do around here. We got lots of gaming places, thundervalley speedway, just to name a few.

Besides, OK seems to be centrally located for everyone too. And like I said, I go to Dallas enough as it is.

i think stolon is right.OK is probably the best place besides we could try to get some track time at thunder valley like he said.oh and of course there's 39th street

Yeah that sounds like a good plan to me.

Well as soon as we get more feedback and see if this is what everyone would like to do, we'll start working on making things happen.

Depending on how many people are interested in doing this, we can see about getting up a discount at a hotel for everyone to stay at. A lot depends on what everyone wants to do. We can make this lean more towards car stuff or car and family related stuff. We definately can set up time at Thunder Valley, I don't see that as a problem.

There's so much to do around here if I stop and think about it. So some sort of consensus on format would be a good start so everyone doesn't drive here just to stare at all each others cars.

Oh, The club scene in Bricktown is really great too, along w/ bricktown itself. And of course, there's always the crusing strip AKA 39th street, on Sat nights, which is always fun and good for a few laughs too.

how far is OKC from st. louis? i think some of us might be interested as long as we dont have to drive all damn day....

Well its about 498 miles away, the drive will only take about 8 hours and I'm sure thats driving 65 mph. So if you drive like I do, which is about 70-85 mph,

than you will cut down on that time by alot.

St. Louis is an 8 hour drive flying low!!!

If you drive like normal people, it's more like a 10 hr drive...

Well thats what mapquest said it would be at 65 mph.

I've driven the St. Louis circuit many, many, many times, and you'd be good to get down here in 8hrs w/o driving fast...

That was just a guess on mapquest part because I don't have the excact address. So there.....

Alrighty then, So back on topic... Let's see a show of hands of how many of you are intersted in making a nice drive up, or down, or over, what every your case would be to OKC? Then we can all come to a decision on a time schedule...

That is a 10 hour drive for me, if you guys do a meet, I would be interested in the hotel discount option. I've never been there and if I can make it, I'd love to visit OKC. Are there budget hotels in the area?

Would this be a single day event or a full weekend?

I will attend wherever it may be. Just plan ahead well enough so I can get time off work and see if it may affect school any. I didn't make the SZ02 or the Dallas deal so I need to make up for lost times.

I think for the best interest of everyone, this will probably be a full weekend event. I will start looking around to see what good rates/discounts we can get for some hotel rooms.

Right now, I think maybe sometime in early Oct. would be good? This would give pleanty of time to plan.

Let me get w/ the instigator of all this and some of the other OK people so we can come up w/ some fun stuff to do.

I'm game for something early October, I'll be in the area to visit my son around then.. (and the good ole DFW CEG, but mainly my son

Hey everyone. I got some issues to get squared away w/ both the tours this week, so I'll be running around w/ my head cut off.

but hopefully by the weekend, maybe I'll have a better idea as to when to get a local meet together so there can be more information posted regarding the big meet.

But w/ this being a holiday weekend, who knows...

I guess I better show up to the meet to plan everything since this was my big idea.

Yep, you'd only spend about an hour off the freeway (if you head straight over from Durant to Ardmore).

Wish I could make it out

When I go to Chandler I take 48 to 3 to 99 to 40 to 18. I get to there in 2 hours 15 mins, so this way is faster to Chandler than through Ardmore. I have never been to OKC from Durant so I dont know if my way is faster to OKC too. If it is, we could go my way and get there quicker. I am not sure if I could be down for the pre-meet though... -Nick

I didn't make SZ02 or nationals either so I'll probably be there too.

Well everyone, some of the locals are getting together this afternoon to hash out some of the details so maybe we'll have something more informative by tonight.

Ok, here's a very basic general idea of what to expect. We've decided on dates for Oct. 17th-20th. Thur-17th, we'll have a general gathering in the evening, more than likely at one of our local pizza places, (The Hidaway), around 7ish. For Friday-18th, we're checking into a few places for afternoon fun for gaming and go karts and what not; Friday eveingy is planned for Thunder Valley and anyone who wants to run their car in the 1/4 can if they wish.

Sat-19th, checking into doing the dyno thing during the day, along w/ a possible show&shine and prizes.

That night is open to go cruise the local cruising strip and have a good time. Sun-20th,last day, go to Frontier City (Six Flag's mini style...

) And that's about all the information I have to pass along for now. There should be some hotel information up really soon. Times and more info on cost of everything will be posted as it becomes available, which will hopefully be really soon.

sorry guys, I can't make it. My uncle is getting married that weekend and I am the best man! Sounds like a good time!! I am sure that someone will take pics......

I'm not gonna promise anything because I'll be in a military school for the whole month of October, but if the class is going good and I can get away that weekend I'll try to show up, even though I don't have the SVT anymore.

I could just see us getting pulled over by Highway Patrol because parts were randomly falling off the car!!

A bit of bad news for the meet, I just got a new job today(pending a drug test!

) and my training will just be ending the weekend before so there is no way I'd be able to take off the weekend of the meet. Sorry guys, you won't get a chance to bask in the glory that is ME!

Hey everyone we need to find out how many people are coming.

So if you know you are coming for sure post and let us now so we can get a head count.

Right now I have about 15 people that have posted in this post that they are coming or are interested. Sorry its taking some time to get all the info together.

Should have all the details, times, and place to stay this coming week.

Just thought I would update so people don't lose interest.

Yes there has been a date set it will be held on the 17-20 of october. I'm waiting on the hotel to call me back and I will have the place to stay set.

I will be posting a new post with all the info and times and what will happen.

Well got the prices for the La Quinta, it will be $68 plus tax for two full size beds and $75 plus tax for one king size bed. Hope more of you will be able to make it.

I might bring a friend to. there isnt any like club or anything i have to be in to go is there and if there is what do i do to join it. but OKC is great for me. been wanting to check out some tours but there is not many around here. let me know if i can come and what the cost of everything will be

Of course you can come, anyone can come.

Even bring friends! So far, the hotel is $68 I believe, and right now, it just looks like food costs and fun monies. We are still throwing around the idea of a raffle for prizes, just for the fun of it. The hotel info and #'s should be posted tomorrow. Will have more info to pass along then about other costs.

Everything is starting to fall into place now so hopefully any questions will be cleared and answered shortly.
