So while I was up at my dorm in San Marcos, my merc sprung a coolant leak. Apparantly, a bracket on the backside of the intake manifold rubbed an inch-long gash into my heater core intake hose. BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I went through two gallons of coolant just limping my bleeding car back to New Braunfels where all my tools and stuff are. The next day I spent 4 hours underneath the car cleaning my face off with antifreeze and replacing the hose. By the way, that intake nipple on the core itself is a B&#*# to get that hose onto. Anyway, my car is A-OK now. Just the typical "I wanna wait until 'A' on the thermo to kick my cooling fan on" kinda behavior. Oh well. Thought ya'll might enjoy my little experience. I would rate this experience right up there with changing the shoes on my god-forsaken drum brakes. Anybody else have this kind of problem?

It didn't suck. I just was ticked off at the time. I had just bathed in coolant underneath my car.
