Or will I be satisfied with the one in VA?

I've got a new sunroof, but I have never put it in. The original still works fine. I've tested some of the prototypes, but I have not tried the final one. It is just sitting in my tool box. I'm asking $7,900 and will transport to you for a return airline ticket and drinks.
Posted By: Ray_dup1 Re: Selling The Tour - 08/07/05 06:24 AM
There's no way in hell I am paying to fly you from my house to yours. You'd depart and arrive at the same airport.

New motor or gear?

If it's a whole new motor, I'll take it off your hands, for a fair price of course; that is, if you're interested. Or, if it is the final version of the gear that's supposed to be going into production........

I miss my sunroof!

Posted By: TexasRealtor Re: Selling The Tour - 08/07/05 10:46 PM
It's the final production gear. I have been so busy that I haven't been able to test it for Jeff. I have never had any problems with my gear, I was the one who originally contacted him about the gear and was asked to help test prototypes.

TR
Posted By: Ray_dup1 Re: Selling The Tour - 08/08/05 02:42 AM
FWIW: I tested the final production version and got great results.. no marring, no marks, and no deformation.

Ray

Why....? WHY!???

Why do you people get rid of your tours after so many memories and years together!?

I know money, wifes, gf's whatever may influence you to do it, but its a CSVT!

I am getting rid of mine only at the point where I am too old and weak to shift the gears. Then it will go to my son or grandson (If I have any)

I'm in relatively the same boat. I've even broken down to drawing members' cars to raise money in order to get back in the CEG family with the proper vehicle. The only other closest CSVT I have really considered is asking $7K and it's in Virginia. That's quite a ride from Savannah. And it has 97K miles on it already. If I reborn myself into the Contour family, the car has to last for several years until I graduate college.

Savannah just isn't a very popular place for CSVTs and it's a pain in the ass to find somebody with a Paypal account that will accept credit cards.

Oh well. I guess I will keep looking.

Got a strange email, sounds like a scam. Probably one of those Nigerian scams. I told him to look for it on Ebay in a couple of weeks.

Good day,
I will like to make an enquiry about your 2000 CSVT red, for sale as am seriously interested and i hope owning it soon. Please give me a recent update on its condition (with some pics if any) and also with your best price for it.
Payment will be made by my Financier which he informed me that he would be paying with a payable Bank Money Order. If you feel comfortable with this purchase email me back with your Full name, Address and Phone number for my record purposes. My name is Howard and i hope to have a trustworthy and honest transaction with you.
Thanks for your anticipated co-operation.
I look forwar d to read about the condition and other details from you soon.
Please note that I will be having my local shipper come for the pickup as i so much place reliablity on them, as they've worked with me for ages,so you need not to bother about the shipping.
Have a nice day
Regard.
Howard..

Hmm..

Don't be involved in the shipping process... he has a financier... I see..

Oooh, oooh,

I got another one! Please tell me that people don't fall for the sh!t.

Thank you for your response, after discussing
with my client who really commended your item has
instructed to move on with the deal at the price of
($7,900 ),he said he will be going on a vacation soon
and will rest virtually all the transaction on my
shoulder and assign a shipper like wise that i will
work with and stressed that he will be issuing out a
cashier check of ($13,900) which was a refund payment
of a cancelled order earlier made by him but
will be filed in your name, you are only required to
deduct the cost of your item($7,900) and
send the differece ($6,000) when payment gets to you to a
shipping agent whoose information will be given to
you as at when due, he will be needing the fund to
offset shipping charges, taxes and other cosmetic
repairs/touches,the agent will be responsible for
signing andtransfering of title paper and also pickup.
So i require of you to send me your NAME,ADDRESS AND
PHONE NUMBER for payment to be delivered to you via
fedex courier services .All other information needed
in completion of this transaction will be given to
you in due time.thanks

Until she brings up a "shipper", her financier, her client, a check for more than your asking price, or "much trust needed", you are fine. Sounds like she is just not a literate person, though that may be the revamped attempt, and their intention.
