Since no one is here posting in the Car Enthusiast Group, I thought I'd post a pic of an exhaust I'm thinking of having built for my motorcycle. It would have the muffler built into it. The exit would be right behind and below the right peg. Since it would only be about 12-13" long, it's gonna be loud!

Loud = getting heard = getting seen. Right? (That'd be my justification, anyway. )

So, if I'm seeing this right...wouldn't that hamper some of your leaning capability on that side? Would it get the rear tire too hot?

Loud is safer with a bike, so scream away That should look good kicked up at a 45*.

I've been testdriving like crazy..... but that's all over now

I don't think it will affect how far I can lean that way. I honestly didn't think about that. I just wanted it to look cool. Well, if I lean too far and srape it, I scrape it. It'll be fun.
And with the tire getting hot, this is outside the swing arm, so it's not going to affect the tire at all. But, I might have to glue something to the plastic, it's a little close where it makes the bend and comes out. But that's no big deal.

It's all fun and games until you hear a scraping sound coming from the bike you're piloting...and you poop your pants.

just got an email back from a manufacturer that said they couldn't make what I'm after. I wanna cry.

Maybe I'll just build my own then. I know a few good welders.

thought I would dig up this thread for an update.....
I'm going to build this thing myself. Material is on it's way. I hope to have the last of it this week, but the tubing bender is taking his sweet time. But I guess that's OK since he's not holding me to his normal shop minimum charge.

Here's the latest model:

Here's the poster board mock-up:

like my "Pinebox" logo? I'm gonna have some cut so if I end up making a few of these they will be branded.
