I came across a really good deal and I am SO torn on jumping on it! It's a 1955 F100 that has a 60's 302 and an automatic. It runs great, doesn't leak oil or any other fluids.

It's a DD for an OLD timer that lives up Emigration Canyon. I met him while doing some remodel work on a nice home, and he just wonders the neighborhood looking to kill time (poor old guy...). I spouted off about how I LOVE resto-rods and rat rods, and how nice that truck would look in a nice black sealer primer and painted wheel centers (red or copper) while leaving the baby moons and the lip chrome. He said that the ol' truck deserves that, but he doesn't have it in him anymore to pull it off. He asked me to make him a reasonable offer on his "old truck" and if I gave it a good home he'd sell it to me. i told him I wouldn't be able to pay him much, and he threw out $1200

Here is a pic I took with my phone. It's totally straight and would make a uber sweet "work" truck with $100 in misc. stuff. What do you guys think?

If I didnt already have my '64 F100 turbo project, I would jump on that.

What suspension is it running? Any rust?

that is SICK swazo. I love those trucks, and it would look super slick satin black!

That would be so badass. Imaging your sig with Swazo, the Impala and the truck.

No real rust to speak of really. Some minor scuff on the drivers door that has some surface rust, but that's it. It's so minor, it didn't do anything other than paint damage.

I didn't check out the underside, but he said that the suspension was modified OEM (solid front I'd guess....). The interior is clean, dash is totally intact and functional and ok custom door panels and (bench) seat cover. There is an older style sunroof chopped in though

It has a nice exhaust note, runs smooth and drives pretty nice. It seems pretty peppy, but not fast by any means. The wood in the bed is pretty rotten and has a sheet of marine grade plywood covering it.

It'd need new tires, brake system refresh and a little electrical work before I'd drive it around very much. Timing just sucks, or I'd have it in my driveway right now. I can't warrant buying this truck (even though it's a killer deal and pretty clean for the price) with my SVT down and my Impala waiting for me to finish a frame-off restoration

I wonder if he'd sit on it for me

Freakin' rad truck.
I'd love to have a hotrod truck one day. I haven't told Ashley that yet.
