Ok, since Uncle Sam owes me some money I'm upgrading my suspension. F/R sway bars and springs/shocks.

Here are the options I'm looking at:

Option #1: $1150
Mopar Stage 2 coilovers. The only adjustment in these coilovers is height. Built by KW, plus they are rebuildable.

Option #2: $1350
Mopar Stage 3 coilovers. Fully adjustable and rebuildable. Also built by KW. But these might be a little bit too pricey.

Option #3: ~$850
Tokico Illumina struts w/lowering springs. Probaly Tein H-techs, or Hotchkis. The struts are 5-way adjustable, but height is fixed.

Tein does have a set of Super Street coilovers, but the spring rates are the same front and rear. Which seams stange to me. Plus the rates are kinda high and I don't want to be bouncing down the road.

What do you guys think?

I think I got a video of a Volvo roasting an SRT . . .

Do the mopar mods keep your car under warranty? If so - are you looking for ultimate grip and bad tire wear and crappy ride - or are you looking for the look?

Mopar mods and warranty has been a great debate at srtforums.com. Some say it's ok, but others say, ANY after market parts void warranties. Even Mopar stuff. Nobody really knows for sure.

Well, I want the look, 1.2-1.5" drop. I want good grip + even tire wear + ok ride.

Volvo Vid - poor SRT

Id go with stage II - sounds like good money for what it gives, if you can afford it stage III - but like you said - more money . . .

rolf! Volvo's smoking tires cool, but it just looks strange. Oh, I think the best one in that was the new M3 loosing! I'd like to see the look on that guys face.

Sometimes matched components are the best way to go. Is option 3 matched?

Scot brought up a good point about warranty...
Either way, Dodge shouldn't void your powertrain warranty if you mod the suspension. That's just lame. Talk with you favorite service manager and see what he/she says.

Well, after thinking about it for a while, I'm gonna go with option #3, Tokico Illumina's & Tein H-tech springs. Just for reference, the H-tech's drop is F-1.2" & R-1.5". Stock spring rates F-170, R-125, H-tech rates F-173, R-168. I think these will give a close to stock ride quality, with the drop I want. I probably could stay with the stock shocks, but why, I'm gonna have it all apart anyway.

......patiently waiting money from Uncle Sam......

i agree - tokicos rule

who-ho! Uncle Sam has paid up!

Now, after more searching, those h-tech springs are giving people about 1.7" drop in the front. I think that's a bit much.

I originally wasn't thinking of the Mopar Stage 1 springs, 'cause they were advertised with a 1" drop front and back. I wanted a bit more than that, but people are getting about 1.25" drop with them. I don't know the spring rates, but I think since the are Mopar parts they should be perfect with the Tokicos.

Bring it on the Canyon Run, show us what a Neon can do. It would be sweet to compare a turbo contour and a SRT4 in the twisties, I have some suspention mods too . May is coming up quick ! -B.
