Has all new O2's and my fuel flapper is farked so the pump keeps shutting off. I pump until it keeps clicking off every 2 seconds so I don't know if I'm getting a full tank or not. Tanks got bigger 99+ as well. I have no CE lights either. Could change the fuel filter I guess but doubt it will do much. I don't drive like a grandma either. I shift when driving lightly at 4-5k. My secondaries are usually open.

Take I-75 to west rd. exit. The exit ramp forks, you can either go to Trenton/Grosse Ile or Woodhaven. Go towards Woodhaven, which means you'll be going West on West Rd. and the McD's is like RIGHT there, you can't miss it.

I live like 10 minutes south of the turnpike off of 71. Any one heading North can meet at my house. We can catch up with the Clevelander's at the first rest stop???????

same here....my CEL went off but my alternator is still on its way out...haven't found anyone to put the new one in for me yet. tried conning my brother into doing it, then his car sprung a gas leak from the tank so now he has to worry about his car

i'll be there....my car finally died on my way home from work last night in the pouring rain

i barely made it into a parking lot before it totally shut off.....the battery light was only on for about 2 miles before it died. i had to pay $45 for it to be towed, so hopefully it'll be fixed sometime today

got my car running 100% now all i have to worry about is getting off work... i should be there!

if i remember, i'll definetly try to make it down there-- if anyone is driving through the livonia area,

i'd like to join in on the cruise with some fellows

We should all plan on meeting there around noon. And leaving at 12:30 at the very latest...I would leave sooner. Last time I went down that way there was some construction around monroe. 12:15 might be a safer time, but either way, traffic isn't going to be bad on a sunday. You guys decide.

I picked up some T-Red paint from a local autobody supplier to touch up some scuffs on the lower body work around the car.

I persume I know what I'm doing, having experience with this kind of stuff, just not on "MY" car

if you all are heading down I75, then I could meet you at the Meijer store at the Alexis Rd. exit. It's west of the e-way. They have I280 closed at the Greenbelt Pkwy, so you have to stay on I75 and take the back way.

Thanks Roger! I figured you all would like to know since the directions given on both mapquest AND yahoo don't mention ANYTHING about the bridge construction

I'm going to drive the detour route this weekend and get exact directions, exit #'s...etc.etc... I'll type up a copy at work here and make a bunch of copies for everyone.

I am meeting Tom and Carl at the FIRST rest stop after the state route 57 exit (Elyria) on the turnpike. Mystique97 is hopefully going to catch up with me before I jump on the turnpike. Not sure where you are going to pick the turnpike up from akron, but you can either meet us at the rest stop or catch up with me in Brunswick, its just 2 exits before the turnpike off of 71.

thanks, jared. i think i bought the last set through a local dealer. i'll probably have my brother do them again though. he got them out fairly easily last time, seeing as how the last one was barely even staying in! you could touch it with your finger and it moved about an inch or so!!!

hey pete, didn't you mention something in another post about people backing out once it got closer to the day of the meet??? i thought about that when i looked at this thread this morning and laughed my ass off!!

I'm doing everything that I possibly can to make it to this meet, everyone here knows the problems that I am having. I'm pissed

i know...you can't help it if your car decides it wants to f-up at the last minute.......or if work decides to schedule you on a requested day off. i know both those feelings ALL too well! i just hope you can figure out what the heck is wrong w/ your car b/c it gets frustrating! good luck

Well, i have gutted pre cats, a gutted main cat. and bassani cat back system..it sounds good at low rpms.. but high it makes a loud gross sound. i need 2 mufflers

We could also just get like... those white tape tags that just stick on your shirt, and wright our actual name followed by our User name in in Quotations... But I dont know how i like that... Jeez, I thought OD ran higher then that on the duratec... My zetec did about 3100 RPMS while going 75 IIRC. I know the Duratec final drive is much higher then that... unless you had a zetec final drive installed when you had your trannie built...

you're correct, i did. after the new alternator was in, he revved it up past 6000RPM and it flickered a couple times. since then, i have not taken it anywhere near that!

of course, those of you remember my misfire problem with the zetec... I think I made like 15 topics on that stupid problem.. I went through 3 sets of spark plugs, 2 sets of wires (one set which were free FORD RACING

) and 2 coil packs (the 2nd one was an Accell) until I figured out that the Ford motorcraft coil I had purchased was defective. That peeved me. Nothing like gunning the gas pedal and having misfires past 4 grand on humid days, and only humid days... The more humid, the worst the misfires... Either way, I cleared it up and loved the car just the same

Heck you got 4 days left you can make it, I fixed my problem in my car 2 weeks ago. Of course yours just came out of the ordinary I had mine for a while before that. This meet actually encouraged me to fix it, and it seemed like it was gettin worse.

agreed, you never take your car to ANY dealer to have work done, unless its under warrenty. The most I ever took my contour to the ford dealer for was an oil change when it was below zero outside, I didnt want to deal with doing it myself.. Plus I got a good motorcraft Synblend with motorcraft filter and a 32 point inspection for $19.99 So I consider that worth it... Otherwise I wouldnt ever take my car to a dealer for any out of the ordinary maitenence. I had a friend with a 2000 mustang Convertable with the 3.8L and a 5 speed, it was making a wirring noise in 1st and 2nd gear... He took it in and they told him he needed a new clutch at 60K miles... He told them to do it, paid a grand got a new clutch, they said it was fixed, but the sound was still clear as day... took it back to them and they charged him again to find the problem (with a MINOR discount, of corse).... They said they had fixed it, drove it, nothing different, out another couple hundred bucks, took it back a 3rd time and they finally figured it out, turned out one of the bearings in the trannie had worn out... Dont remember which one it was... But like I said, Ive heard a lot of horror stories about dealer repairs, take it to a good family owned shop, besides you get the best deals then, and they dont take their sweet ass time.

i wonder how the weather is going to hold up for us-- my 'widget' says thunderstorms but, then again, it has showed thunderstorms for the last three days and nothing has happened at all

Its red w/bi-wing and I believe its an 88' or 89' because of the rims. I just checked out yahoo maps, and I dont like the directions. Has us get off the turnpike in Lorain/Elyria and take route 2 pretty much most of the way.

Hmphhh.. what seems to be a little easier, is get on the turnpike towards Toledo. 100 miles later, take exit 71 and merge onto I-280N towards Toledo/Detroit. Then take exit 9 to Front Street.

Taking it to 75 will bring you too far I think.

your svt is like my old GL's counterpart... My back bumper was slightly messed up, as is yours, my trunk lid had a dent at the top left, as does yours. my contour was green, so is yours, my contour had 134K miles on it when I sold it, so does yours...

Weather.com blows nuts, Its been wrong for midland for the past 2 weeks. For 2 weeks straight it said we would get rain every day in the afternoon, what happens? BLUE SKIES with hardly any clouds. we got rain one day that they predicted it, and we got it 6 hours AFTER they predicted it... Though it looks possible if you watch the weather maps, I have a feeling something is going to change...

agreed... I drove to the last Dave and Busters meet in february... I dont know if anybody remembers that but there was a blizzard the night before... something like 8 inches of snow... Yeah, I was booking it down back roads in snow almost up to my front bumper doing 60 miles an hour. That was a BLAST! I never knew my contour was that good in the snow...

....if you read up in this thread, a bunch of them are meeting at the mcdonald at the west rd. exit. then they're all meeting me @ meijer's off alexis rd. in toledo for detour directions

I knew that Bonnie, what i meant was anyone who stayed North of 8 mile rd, or any place back north that were rollin south on 75 past 8 mile rd to the meeting spot at Mcdonalds, I was trying to roll with people who were goin to Mcdonalds sorry if i wasnt clear.

I am not sure if 280 is open. They were doing construction on the bridge and I don't know if they finished it yet....but mapquest said to take 280 so we'll see.

Yea Bonnie my car has a few dents, and my crazy ass backed into a big ass bolder at a friends apartment complex I was PISSED!!!!!!!!!! So now I got a nice scrape on my bumper So I feel ya pain I think imma wash mine later one and bring some towels or something to wipe her down when i get to the meet.

The turbo'd CSVT IS making this meet and I'm really glad to see this, seeing its been sometime since he's been out to a meet, even longer than me

seriously, rog... the day i spend money to pay someone to wax my own car, is the day i officially remove my balls and put them in a jar. the paint doesn't need to be deep and mineraly for it to go fast.... and all my time and $$ (car-wise) goes towards making it fast. if we get some decent weather soon, i'll be at the track looking for 11's.

Think about it like this, with all the "experts" who predicted my car would run from the mid to high 15's the wax had to account for something

Well, I just finished the car. 'Been workin on it all day! Phew! I was/is F-ing hot and humid out there.

Besides a good in/out cleaning, I finally did a little project I've been thinkin' about for a while. This meet just gave me the motivation to do it.

I bought little black mud flaps, and inserted them backwards inside the front of the front wheel well, and the back of the rear one, flush with the black trim, to bring the "blackness" right down to the bottom of the skirts. I always thought they looked flimsy just hanging in thin air, and no it does NOT look ghetto!

It really makes the car look more "solid".

I know it's not the most exciting mod., but I'm proud of my achievment!

Sry for no pics, but I havn't quite figured that one out yet.

I spent 2 hours cleaning the damn thing off, used all of the chemicals I have in my garage and I smell like 4 different kinds of wax...

Used Mother's cleaners wax to clean the pain, and onceovered with NXT (just the spray kind... get the same results).

Just cleaned mine out and washed and waxed it she is ready to go in the morning.

I just slept for like 12 hours!

I was so damn tired when I got home, I just ate something and crashed in bed.

I had to drive home in the rain with no wipers because the pass. side one seemed about to let go evertime they would wipe. I figured I'd keep them off instead of beeing known as the guy in the convoy home with a "flying wiperblade"

Anyway, Yeah that was a great time.

That goof in the Mustang didn't even own the car, it was one of those special edition Shelby GT500H's, the "H" for Hertz, as in the rental place. They are all black with gold stripes like that.

I wish I could remember everyones names! I forgot half of them by the time we ate! (and everyones by the time I got home!)LOL

I posted the few pics I had too, but others took better ones.

I really look forward to getting together again, and now that I know how to post pics, I 'll be sure to endulge a little more with my cam.!

Oh, and P.S. Bonnie, while you're fixing you're fiberglass, don;t forget to get rid of those bumper scratches!

yeah, thats really why I said it, lol. I dont mind the look of them... Although I have never seen clear tails on a Sil Fro SVT before

I forgot who (username wise) it was who had the tails in his trunk for like $25, I would have bought them but I'm waiting to see if Swazo sold his Short Shifter or not. I'm willing to to the work to get some clear tails with possible LED's ^.^
