I've been told that here in Ohio it's legal to purchase a used vehicle and drive it home without plates as long as you have the bill of sale or signed off title. Oh yeah having an auto insurance policy in force, also.
Is it the same in Michigan?
Now if I was buy one in Michigan and transport to home in Ohio?
I called my BMV today, well I thought I'd called the IRS, Jeeze! We have all these wonderful laws, but just try and find an official to get an answer???
Any legal folks on here?

Thanks
Paul
I believe it is. When I got my car I asked at the secretary of state. They said that if you had the title or bill of sale with a date within 48 hours or something you could drive it back.
in mi, it's legal to drive it from the place of purchase to your home.

i bought a car in ohio 2+ weeks ago, and just now got it registered in MI. drove it the entire time "illegally" with my other cars plates on it. just don't do anything to get pulled over, and you won't have any problems.
I drove a Bike all last summer with a Scooter plate on it!

yeah its legal. I was pulled over for window tint & no plate on my way home from buying my car. As soon as I showed the officer the title that was just signed over he said OK and told me to go straight home and pull the tint. Off I went.
i rode my bike with a moped plate , but i just sold the bike, i got pulled over riding it to the house where i was selling it , the guy i was selling it to was behind me and when i got pulled over the guy stopped also and told the officer that he was purchasing it, and the cop didnt do anything. just told me to get going on my way basically

It wasn't there when I looked at the car yesterday . . .
I wonder how much glue is on there still?

There was glue residue, yes, but I could not verify the amount, as it was dark, and a frankly didn't care.

but only because I was dazzled by the titanium exhuast in the moonlight . . .
More like spoo residue.
