Wow- congrats! Even when I was a teen in good shape I've never had the endurance to run even one mile, let alone 26.

That's cool! Congratulations!

I wish my knees would let me run, I would like to do accomplish something like that. I do ride long distance bike stuff sometimes though. I've done several centuries (100 miles) and 2 50 mile mountain bike races.

My wife wants to get into running.

Congrats again! Very cool accomplishment!

Hey!!!

Thanks for the good words. I knew I could count on you guys for support.

The run was simply amazing...so emotional...and the crowd was fantastic. The streets were lined with people for nearly the ENTIRE 26.2 miles. What a sight!

My time was good, but I was really hoping to finish closer to 4 hours. I was doing really well until the 1/2 marathon and then started to lose steam from there. I started out WAY too fast, I think I ran my first 7 miles at an 8:30 pace when my goal was a 9:30 throughout. The last 4-5 miles from BC to Boston were really tough, but I made it through!

I highly recommend this experience for anyone willing to do it. There's a good reason why Boston is THE marathon for runners. Truly unique.
