havent really heard much from the florida people so i figured id ask, what does everyone have planned for the july 4th weekend......?

Lots and LOTS of fireworks.

How about a post-4th GTG? There's an Auto-X at the Tampa Fairgrounds on the 6th (5th is practice).

OHH HELL YEAH........ we can deffinatley do that .....theres quite a few people here in the tampa area that would probably be willing to do that ...not to mention those from sarasota or naples.

what do ya think boys........a meet and greet or get together that weekend......we havent had a meet in a while so we should do this.

well i dont think the 4th would work for me since i will be with my family. but any other time would probably work, except mon-fri.

got my new tires so I'm ready to go, thats why I couldn't go to gainesville.. broken belts on two of my tires.

can u give us some more details about the auto cross at the fairgrounds....they have a few of them a year there so it wont be the first or last, maybe we could all meet up on saturday the 5th or sunday the 6th whatever works best for everyone else...

I will definitely be at the points event, and fairly certain I'll go to practice. Aside from the Auto-X itself, we could meet up for breakfast before, lunch during, or dinner after? Let me know any other info you need.

sounds good to me the fairgrounds are only 8 miles from my house and i know there are a few other svt's around here that would be willing to go......so lets here from the rest of the people around the state or area...??

ok now that there are a few people interseted....which would be the better day for everyone.....saturday the 5th or sunday the 6th....more than likely i wont be auto-xing my car either due to a tranny problem that i am in the middle of fixing....however i would like to meet just for a get together and some lunch or dinner......

In terms of making the most of a day, I suggest we meet up at the fairgrounds (either the 5th or 6th), watch the racing/shoot the breeze, and then head out to eat somewhere when it's over. If you have other ideas, let us know. So here are the basics, discuss!!

WHAT: Fun meet

WHEN: July 5th or 6th. Which is better?

WHERE: Tampa (Fairgrounds area it sounds like)

WHY: Meet up, chill, eat.

WHO: Possibles list: quickSVT, me, Flecha, 2K SVT, Roland (maybe), Kingpin?, jthursby. Who else?

Saturday would be better for a meet. Things can get a little crazy during competion, between running your car and course work, you find little time to meet and greet.

I vote for Saturday.

sounds goood to me.....i know that there is a hooters right down the road about 3-4 miles away, a couple other places as well.... i just hope that we can make this happen....

5th sounds good to me.. I will try to round up some peeps here.

dont qoute me but so far i think its just gonna be ANTIRAMIE unless there is someone else who hasnt said anything or posted yet.....i know that there are a few other people around the area that also auto cross, so there might be a few others.........it should still turn out to be a great meet..

If no one plans to run their car and you guys want to meet up somewhere else first, I'm down for that. I just proposed meeting at the fairgrounds because it was an option that was available and I thought more people might race.

Anyway, sounds like it will be the 5th.

hey, just thought i would let you guys know that i cant come if its the 5th. . . sorry. the 4th is usually a pretty long night for me, and i dont think i could make it to tampa the next day, sorry for the let down.

We have six definites: Me, quickSVT, Flecha, 2K SVT, Toobs, and jthursby. A couple other Tampa guys are still unsure....hopefully they can make it.

What time does everyone want to meet up at the fairgrounds?

Its about a two hour drive (at or around the speed limit) for Roland and I, But I would say around 9 if you are running and 10-11 you are not running.

But this is just about as much fun you can have for $30

im def going....i hope to see all you there

thats great, but the only problem is.. Jacksonville is a wayyyyyys from Tampa fairgrounds...

cant take her home too late, ya know

well , tommorow is the big day fells.....what time does everyone plan on meeting there and who will be running there car...anyhow, i hope to see everyone there..

Too many festivities tonight for me to get up early and run my car for practice...
